Chapter 1. Everett.

I frown as I make my way through the crowded hallway, in search of the office. Mom dropped me off, at first she wanted to come in with me but I told her I was fine.
After a few more times of me circling around the school and not finding the office, I go outside to see if something can help with my boredom.
I'll just find the office later
After I push open the school doors and begin walking, I soon regret it. Everything was chaos, almost every student that attended the school was now in the front courtyard.
All the teenagers were fist bumping the air and chanting "Fight." over and over. It was mostly the guys though, the girls just sat there gushing.
How long was I in the school? When I first went in, the hallways were jam packed. How didn't I notice the quiet and lack of bodies around.
I'm stupid
Two guys stood smack dab in the middle of the court yard, both guys had cuts and bruises covering their bodies. Both looked furious, it was like you could feel the anger radiating off their bodies.
I watch as one with black hair throws a punch at the brown head guy, who easily ducks. "Come on Liam, you can beat him." Some people shout. I'm pushed and shoved as the crowd grows.
Where's the teachers?
I decide I've seen enough and head back into the school. After five minutes of wandering around I find the office. The lady at the front desk seems nice. After handing me my time line and locker combo and number I set off.
My first class, English with Mrs. J
I knock on the door and wait, I already know she's gonna be upset that I'm ten minutes late. I walked around the whole fudging school until I found the room.
"Who are you?" She asks, it doesn't come out mean, just confused.
"I'm the new student." I state with a blank face, why cant mom just home school me this once?
"Oh, Ms. Pierce, why don't you introduce yourself." She says with a cheery tone. I already know I'm gonna like her.
I stand awkwardly in front of the class "My name is Arabella Pierce, I just moved here from Alaska. That's basically all you need to know." I finish, my voice came out surprisingly clear.
The teacher claps her hands together "Wow, from Alaska to Florida. That's a big change." She says, the warm smile never leaving her face.
I nod, not saying a word, to which she clears her throat and points to the back of the room "You can take a seat next to Everett." I follow to where she was pointing.
Really? The guy named Everett is the brown head from the brawl only twenty minutes ago. As I make my way to the back of the room, students send me worried looks.
I sit down silently on the guys right, he doesn't even move an inch and keeps staring out the window. I play with my hair that's in a side braid. Its revealing the left side of my neck where the huge ugly scar is.
The guy Everett finally turns his gaze over to me, his eyes look down at my neck for not even five seconds before he looks up at my face.
His grey eyes held no emotion, his hard chiseled jaw was tight and stressed. He clicks his tongue and says "What brings you to sunny Florida?"
"My mother likes to move around." I answer quickly, keeping it short about personal stuff.
"So whats you're favourite movie?" I add on, changing the subject. The tension seems to disappear a bit.
