Chapter 12. Long Ass Drives

•Arabella P.O.V•

I look up "How was the trip?" Mom asks walking into the living room with a coffee.

We got back yesterday, I still remember the first day we were there and everyone finding out about the night terrors.

That night Everett was by my side and I had no night terrors, which I'm thankful for. The rest of the nights there he would sleep beside me.

"Great!" I exclaim softly, slipping on my other flip flop. I stand up and with a quick goodbye I leave. Heading for the beach.

Today was nice out, it was hot so I just wore my orange high waisted shorts with my purple crop top. It doesn't look slutty, thank the lord.

Every step towards the beach I had a little bounce in my step, I don't know why, but I'm just happy and I can't really explain it.

I stopped walking when a black car starts to slow down beside me. I check out the car and notice it was a Porsche Boxster Concept. My dad use to have an obsession with Porsches.

"Arabella." I hear his annoyingly smooth voice say from the drivers seat. I look over and smile at Everett.

"What?" I question, standing with my hip popped out. I bite my tongue and wait for his answer.

He chuckled "Get in the car." He states demandingly.

I roll my eyes at him and open the door, I sit down, sinking into the leather seat. I buckle up and he speeds down the street.

The wind instantly attacking my hair since the lack of a roof. I like it though, just like when I'm on his motorcycle the wind goes through my hair, and it makes me feel, free.

I let out a squeal when I hear the song playing on the radio. Everett turns it up so its blasting as we speed down the road. A smile plays on my lips as I sing along.

When I met you in the summer, To my heartbeat sound. We fell in love, as the leaves turned brown.

We could be together baby, As long as the skies are blue. You act so innocent now, but lied so soon…When I met you in the summer.

The beat continues as I let out the laughter that was bubbling in my throat, Everett turns his head to look at me, his eyes sparkling. A smile dancing on his lips.

When I met you in the summer, To my heartbeat sound. We fell in love, As the leaves turned brown.

I continue singing until the song finally finishes. Everett turns it down so we could talk. I look over at him "Where's you're motorcycle?" I ask with a giddy smile.

He glances over, one hand on the steering wheel "At home, why? Don't like this?" He asks referring to the car. His smirk never leaves his face and that irks me.

I roll my eyes at his ridiculous question and start fiddling with my fingers "Who would hate this? Its a freaking Porsche Boxster Concept. Only idiots wouldn't like this." I exclaimed, flailing my arms around.

He grabs my left hand in his right and brings it down, setting our linked hands on the console. A blush covers my cheeks while I look straight ahead.

"How do you know what kind of car this is?" He drawls out playfully. I look out to our surroundings to see were somewhere near the valley.

I smile warmly "My dad always had an obsession with Porsches. He claimed that the Porsche 918 Spyder was his favourite." I state while looking up at the sky.
