Chapter 14. The After Math Of Everything.
•Arabella P.O.V•
After a much needed shower, I dress into my pair of shorts and crop top that I found hanging from a picture frame in the hallway.
I walk down stairs and look into the living room to find a paint covered Miranda sleeping peacefully on the couch.
I walk into the kitchen to see Nathan sipping a cup of coffee, Hudson sitting on the counter while eating pizza and Everett asleep on the dining room table, covered with whip cream.
I walk over to Everett and poke his cheek, he stirs around and opens his eyes and looks directly at me. "What?" He asks, his voice coming out husky.
"Its like six in the morning, we have to get you home." I answer with a confident smile. He just rolls his grey eyes and sits up.
"What the fuck?! Why is there whip cream on every inch of my body?" He growls out, his face was actually kind of adorable.
All I do is laugh while handing him a towel to wipe himself off with. He takes it and sends me a grateful smile to which I wave my hand dismissively.

I hear the shower turn off and continue flipping the pancakes. We've been back at his house for at least two hours now.
He delayed getting a shower until he felt necessary. Xavier was asleep upstair after getting back from a sleep over. He came back at 7:30am.
He seen me, and gave me a hug before running upstairs, Eeyore following behind him. Thank goodness too, that dog has been following me around.
"How many pancakes do you want?" I shout out, waiting for Everett to respond. All I know is the response I got, wasn't the one I was looking for.
"Three, but it depends on what kind they are." A deep voice says from behind me.
I turn to see an older guy in a grey suit, no doubt about it, it was Everett's Dad. But there was something about him that I recognize.
"Bobbie!" I squeal out, the guy looks at me, his eyes widening when he seems to realize who I am as well.
"Arabella Carsons?" He asks quietly, I launch myself at him and hug him tightly. He hugs me back with the same force.
Dave, also known as 'Bobbie' Was my lawyer for the kidnap case and also my fathers case and lets just say he was like a second dad to me.
He became extremely protective of me when he found out that the brother of the guy who kidnapped me, murdered my father. He made it his mission to send both Steven and John to jail.
"Why are you hugging my dad? I mean he's a cool guy, but you don't know him." Everett says, walking in while towel drying his hair. His shirt rises and I cant help but check him out.
I pull away from Dave and turn to look at Everett "Bobbie here use to be a lawyer of mine a while back ago." I explain sheepishly.
Everett gives me a strange look "His names Dave." He states, taking a plate of pancakes I made.
"I've always called him Bobbie, its like a nick name." I say, walking around the counter once again.
I give Everett an 'I'll explain later' look.
"So how about those pancakes?" Dave says with a smile.
I roll my eyes and pile three pancakes onto two plates, handing one to Dave and having the other for myself. I grab the syrup and sit at the table.
I sit closely next to Everett, for some unknown reason, I always feel safe around him. Its probably because he's a boxer, but he makes me feel, secure.
Dave looks at me and then back to Everett, this goes on for about three minutes before I let out a sigh "Yes?" I question.
Dave stops and looks at me, a smirk forms on his face "Why Ms. Arabella Carsons. Are you dating my son?" He asks in a formal voice.
I blush and shake my head while mumbling a 'No'. At the same time Everett speaks.
"Why do you care?" He says in a deep tone. I blush even harder at that.
I ignore the big amount of butterflies that fill my stomach. You know what? I lied. Its like a Zoo in there, on crack.
I clear my throat and look at Dave "I go by Arabella Pierce now." I say sternly.
Mom changed it after everything that happened. She didn't feel safe with me still having the last name and plus people would recognize me.
I look around the room and watch as Everett's whole body freezes, he drops his fork, causing it to clank against the floor.
"Everett?" Dave asks in a questioning tone. Confused on his sons sudden change in behaviour.
Everett doesn't answer and panic starts to set in "Everett?" I ask softly. But he still doesn't look over at me.
He than snaps his fingers while looking at his dad "Carsons. You mean like the Carsons case?" He asks, my stomach slumps and I just want to cry.
His dad doesn't answer and I feel the burning eyes of both of them. I fiddle with my fingers under the table.
"You know the one about the father being murdered. And the teenage girl being kidnapp---." Everett suddenly cuts himself off.
He looks at me with wide eyes, I watch in horror as his face pales. I shrink back under all the attention I was receiving.
"Arabella…" Everett trails off softly, looking at me with soft eyes.
Bobbie clears his throat "I think you should let you guys talk." He says, looking at me.
I stand up ready to run off as well "No, where are you going?!?!" I shout at Dave.
I feel the panic building up and I start shaking, breathing quickly. Oh God, I'm gonna have a panic attack.
I sit down quickly "I want to see you around here more often, Missy." Dave says and then leaves. He leaves me alone with Everett.
