The Millennium Falcon and the Resistance Base

'Peter? Peter? Wake up!'

Peter woke up after losing consciousness after his confrontation with Kylo Ren, and slowly began to process his surroundings. Rey stood over him as he lay.
'Where am I?' Peter asked in a drowsy, tired voice.
'We're on board the Millennium Falcon, and we're headed to the Resistance base on D'Qar. You will be OK.' Rey said.
'What's going on? What just happened?' Peter asked.
'I freed you from Kylo Ren's Force freeze,' Rey said, 'Maz told me to take you back to the Resistance base, as you would be of good help to our cause. We need you, Peter. She told me of your act of bravery fighting those storm troopers, despite not being a member of the Resistance. You must be either brace, or extremely foolhardy.' Rey said.
'What is the Resistance? And why are they fighting the First Order?' Peter asked.
'The First Order wants to bring back the Galactic Empire, who were defeated in the Galactic Civil War by the Rebel Alliance, who set up the new Republic. Shortly after the First Order emerged, the Resistance was set up by General Leia Organa as a way of opposing them and preserving the democracy of the Galactic Republic, and they fight the First Order to hopefully prevent them from taking over the entire galaxy.'
'And who is Kylo Ren? What does he want?' Peter asked.
'Kylo Ren is Leia Organa and Han Solo's son, and Luke's nephew. Luke trained him in his Jedi arts in a new Jedi academy he set up. However, Kylo Ren fell to the dark side, and mercilessly destroyed Luke's Jedi academy and massacred everyone in it. Now Kylo Ren will not rest until Luke, the last Jedi, is dead.' Rey replied.
'Good god,' Peter replied, 'He's crazy! Which planet are you from?'
'Jakku. A junkyard planet. My parents left me there and have never returned. I used to earn money as a scavenger, before I was thrown into the conflict. I met a droid named BB-8, who had a map to Luke Skywalker inside. I found Luke, and he's trained me in his Jedi arts ever since.' Rey said. She smiled and Peter smiled back. 'Which planet are you from?'
'Earth,' Peter replied,'When I was young, and shortly after my mother died of cancer, I was abducted by a group of space pirates known as the Ravagers.'
'What did they do to you?' Rey asked.
'They said they wanted to eat me, and that they'd never tasted Terran before, but their leader, Yondu...' Peter paused for a moment, as he thought about Yondu's sacrifice and his last words to him before dying in the vacuum of space. But eventually, he regained composure. 'Their leader, Yondu Udonta, took me in and raised me like a father. I was brought up to be an outlaw, in a rugged, tough and challenging environment, but then I stole a powerful orb which contained an Infinity Stone, which only the most powerful beings can hold and harness. I met my friends shortly after that, but let's not get into too much detail, but I will say we ended up in prison. We escaped, and stopped a radical Kreme warlord from taking the orb and we saved the galaxy.'
Rey paused for a moment.'Well, after hearing that, I'm glad you're on our side. We really need someone like you Peter.'
'Well,saving the galaxy is what I like to do. I'll happily help you stop these a-holes, because I wouldn't mind saving the galaxy a third time.' Peter winked.

BB-8 then rolled in and chirped.
'What is it BB-8?' Rey asked. BB-8 chirped again. 'Thank you,'said Rey.'Peter, we're inbound. Come with me.' Peter followed Rey to the Falcon's cockpit. The ship then came out of hyperspace, and Peter saw a planet with lots of forests and fields. The Falcon landed, and Rey took Peter to the Resistance base. There he met a variety of people including ace pilot Poe Dameron, who was impressed by Peter's bravery. Rey then took Peter to see General Leia.
'General Leia,' a Resistance general said, 'you have a visitor.' Leia turned around. She was an old woman who despite being relatively old, still had a tiny bit of youth within her. But she wasn't her usual self. She was depressed, but brightened up a bit when she saw Rey. 'General Leia, this is Peter Quill. He stood up against storm troopers and attempted to save me from Kylo Ren. We escaped.' Rey said.
'Ah, Peter,' Leia said,'That was a great act of courage in the face of adversity, almost foolhardy. But it does warm my heart when someone is as grave as you, and I would like you to join the Resistance.'
'That would be pretty cool,' said Peter, 'but where are my friends?'
'QUILL!' someone shouted. Peter turned around, and was greeted with the sight of Rocket Raccoon, who was standing there with a teenage Groot. And following them, was Rey's friend Finn, a renegade stormtrooper who had betrayed the First Order after discovering the truth about them. He had been badly injured by Kylo Ren, but he still managed to stay fit and strong. 'Finn!' Rey exclaimed, and they embraced. 'I'm so glad you're alright! How do you feel?'
'Much better,' Finn replied, 'but I'm still weak.' Rey noticed that Finn had been fitted with a new cybernetic spine, as his old spine was broken by Kylo Ren. Peter seemed jealous, but was accepting and realised they were only friends.
'Rocket! Groot!' Peter said, 'What are you doing here?
'We heard about what you did back there, and I'd thought we'd come to help!' Rocket said
'No,seriously Rocket, do you actually want to help or are you in this for the money?' Peter asked.
'Yeah,Quill, I do wanna help!' Rocket said, 'I also wanna kick some ass!'
Rey and Leia chuckled. 'Well, you do seem determined.' Rey said. 'I'm going to see Luke now. See you soon.'
'Hang on- wait Rey! Can we come with you?' Peter said, running after her.
'Alright then,' Rey said. 'Goodbye Leia!' The group then prepared to depart on the Millennium Falcon.
'Peter!' Leia called out, He turned around and walked towards her. 'May the Force be with you,' she said, smiling. Peter smiled at Leia before joining the rest of the group on the great journey that lay ahead.
