I stretch and Yawn. It's early. Maybe a little too early. I glance over at my alarm Radio
7:58
Damn. 2 minutes early. I hate days like this.
I lay in bed until my alarm goes off. I sit for a minute before myself out of bed. I shut of my alarm on the way out of my room and wander into the kitchen. I slap on the coffee maker and pop toast in the toaster. My breakfast is tasty, the toast could've used a little more butter though. I shrug it off and drink my coffee. After breakfast I go outside on the balcony. The cool morning air refreshes me. I look down at the busy city below. It reminds me of when I lived in New York with my parents.
I sigh and go back inside. I pull on my uniform and put my long Brown hair into a ponytail. I slide my shoes on before walking out the door. I get into my car and turn the key. Nothing.
Oh come on, don't do this to me today, No no!
Still nothing with a few more turns.
"Fuck!"
My engine finally starts and I drive off. It's only 15 minutes to where I work but I may still be late. Sure enough when I get there, Rani is waiting for me.
"You're late again?" she asks
"My car wouldn't start and now I'm gonna have Melanie on my ass all day."
"Wow, sucks to be you." She says
"Yeah I know. Freaking Fantastic."
"Come on, you ready?"
I clip my nametag on and shut my locker.
"Lets go."
We go into the almost empty computer electronics store.
So far so good...
"Rani! Taylor!" I hear a voice behind me
Shit!
"Yes Ms. Melanie?" I ask
"You know what! You were both late! You better shape up or you'll be out of a Job missy!" she says before walking away
We both sigh and separate into different sections. I better keep up my work if I want to keep Melanie of my scent all day.
I see a customer walk In and go to great him.
"Hi, can I help you find anything?"
"Yes actually. While I was moving, a part from my computer broke and I need a new one." he says.
"Ok, what do you need?"
He hands me a small note with something written out on it. Looks like he's looking for a specific kind of hard drive.
"Come with me."
"Ok, this is the one you specified but this one holds more memory and this one runs better in some computers. So...It's your choice."
He looks around for a second at the ones we have in stock.
"I'll take this one. I've been needing more memory for a while" he smiles
"Ok, if that's all you need than I'll ring you up."
I walk over to the registers and scan it.
"Ok, that's 120$ please."
He hands me the money and I give him his hard drive.
"Well, thank you Ms....Bennett" he says, looking at my name tag
"You're welcome, have a nice day!"
He leaves the store and I Lean over on my desk. Today's gonna be a long day.
Sure enough, the day was too freaking long. At 7 I jump in my car and I'm lucky it started. If it didn't I would get a ride home from Rani. I stop for dinner and go home. I hop out of my car and go inside. I eat my dinner wile watching TV before going to bed.
