Infinity's p.o.v.
I watched as Grey loaded the car, leaving the house made me anxious but I'd already said I'd go. "Are you sure you'll be okay?", he asked planting a tender kiss on my lips. "I'll be fine, Grey, besides it's not that long", I replied gently running my fingers across his cheekbone. "I know..." He trailed off biting his lip anxiously. "Grey I'm serious, I'll be fine. Olive gave the okay and besides a little change of scenery could do the both of us good", I smiled as I laced our fingers together and pulled his arms around me. "Okay, I guess you're right", he relaxed a little and led me around the car.
I sat back and watched as he walked around the car and climbed into the driver's seat. I felt a pressure on my stomach and looked down to see a little handprint stretching against the skin. "Grey! Grey look!", I pointed out excitedly as another handprint appeared beside the first. He
smiled and leaned over to place his own hand on top of the small one. I shuddered as his warm hand touched my cool, sensitive skin. "I'm so proud of you Baby", he whispered leaning even further to kiss my cheek. I blushed and ducked my head, unsure how to respond. He smiled as he started the car and carefully backed out of the driveway. I watched as the trees slowly faded into rolling hills and rivers.
"I know you don't like to talk about it but...never mind", he stopped, biting his lip as he glanced over me. His jaw tightened and I could tell he was trying to figure something out. "Go ahead, I'll answer any questions", I took a deep breath knowing he was probably going to ask about my past. It was only fair, he'd told me everything that he'd been through but I'd been very careful about telling him my past. "Well, it's just you seem so skittish about people and I can't help but wonder what happened?", he asked glancing over at me. "Th..the whole story?", I asked knowing I was still going to leave a piece out.
"I understand if you don't want to talk about it", he responded glancing away. "No, you have a right to know", I took a deep breath and looked down at my hands, which were cradling my stomach. "I....I was a mistake, the product of a lonely alpha seeking a companion for the night. I ruined both his and my mother's reputation and apparently their lives. My mother was an omega leading to me already being low in the pack, but the alpha ensured that I was at the very bottom of the food chain. They all hated me, my half brother and that group were the worst of all. They used to chase me down just to kick, beat, and tell me how worthless I was. The alpha used to take me out in the woods and force me to run while he and several others violently hunted me. Then I came home one evening to find my mom and my other half brother...... murdered. When I tried to run away I was captured and brought to the alpha.....my father's, office. He tried to kill me and ended up throwing me out the window. After I hit the ground....he threw a desk after me and tried to kill me. The I ran away....and ended up here.", I closed my eyes and tried to hold back the tears but I knew from my trembling lip that I wasn't going to be able to stop this break down.
I could hear Grey's breathing as he processed what I'd said and gently pulled over. The car door opened and slammed shut before suddenly my door opened. Grey pulled me into his arms and just held me. A warm feeling of safety and protection washed over me and I leaned even further into his embrace. "Oh Baby...so this is what's been bothering you", he whispered into my hair. I could hear the raw pain in his voice as his hands stroked my hair and rubbed my back. I simply nodded, my emotions had worn me out and with Grey's arms around me it was too easy to forget my troubles. I drifted off against his shoulder with a content sigh.

"Morning sleeping beauty", Grey chuckled as he turned down a driveway lined with trees. I sat up and looked around, trying to figure out where we were. "We're in Shadow Crest territory now, once we go through that gate", he paused gesturing to the large black gate further up the driveway "it won't be long before we reach the main house", he finished, glancing over at me to make sure I understood. I nodded and pulled my knees up to my chest suddenly becoming nervous. Grey noticed my discomfort and grabbed my hand, lacing our fingers together and giving my hand a comforting squeeze.
I watched as we approached the large house. For some odd reason I was incredibly nervous about being away from home. I felt the pups become restless from the tension in my body. They began to move and kick inside my stomach. Soon we pulled up at the house and a dark haired man with a very pale complexion stood in front of the car. "Shane, it's good to see you", Grey greeted the man as he climbed out the car. I didn't open my door, the anxiety was too much. Grey looked back quizzically before exchanging a few words with the man and walking around to my side of the car.
He gently pulled the car door open and helped me out before leading me over to the man, who I'd learned was Shane. "Infinity, it's a pleasure to meet you. May I?", he spoke softly as he held his hand out for me to shake. I tentatively reached out and let him take my hand. He held it for a moment before letting it go and leading us into the large, marble house. Grey's hand found mine and pulled me closer to him as we walked. "Daddy help, the momster is trying to get us!", two small toddlers, both boys, came running towards us and jumped into Shane's arms. Moments later a woman, balancing a baby girl on her hip, came around the corner. "Oh! Shane you didn't tell me we'd have company this early!", she yelped standing straight up. The baby began to reach for Shane as the boys ran away again. "Relax Rachel, it's just Grey and his mate", Shane said dismissively as he took the girl and bounced her on his hip.
"Well still, you could've told me so that I could clean up a little", she huffed looking around at the living room which had toys and blankets scattered around it. "Rachel, you know the boys would've jut made a bigger mess if you tried to clean up" Shane laughed as he brushed a strand of hair, that had fallen out of her ponytail, out of her face. Rachel turned to look at us apologetically. "I'm sorry, if I'd have known you were coming I'd have tried to clean but someone didn't tell me you'd be here today", she smiled at Shane.
"Oh it's fine, besides Rachel I don't think you've met Infinity", Grey pulled me up beside him. "Well hello Infinity", she smiled warmly at me. "Not to be intrusive, but when are you expecting?", she asked excitedly since it was very clear that I was about to pop. "Supposedly a couple weeks but I think it'll be sooner", I was surprised at how easy it was to talk with her, she didn't scare me at all. By now Shane and Grey had drifted off to talk by themselves leaving just us women. "Oh my, do you know what it is?", she asked curiously. "Twins and the best of both worlds, a boy and a girl", I smiled folding my hands around my stomach. "Oh that's great, I remember when I was pregnant with my two boys", as she spoke the boys came running back into the room. They appeared to be chasing each other. "Payton don't hit your brother! Parker don't kick Payton! Shane, a little help here!", she yelped as she pulled the two boys apart. "Okay I might sound a little crazy, but I can't wait until we're like that", Grey smiled as he wrapped his arms around me.
"I thought alphas were supposed to be all professional and tough around each other?", I asked noticing how Grey and Shane acted more like best friends than alphas. "Most of us are but Shane and I have known each other since we were young and neither of us consider the other a threat", he chuckled as he buried his face in the crook of my neck. I leaned back against him and watched as Shane and Rachel separated the boys and got them to calm down before sending them away. As Shane approached us the baby stretched out like she was reaching for me. "Oh, Infinity I think Ari wants you", Shane looked nervous as he handed the baby to me.
"Well hello Ari", I spoke softly as she turned so that she was laying in my arms. She laid her small head against my chest and sighed contentedly as her eyelids drooped. I rocked her gently as she cooed in her sleep. Glancing up, I caught Grey watching me fondly. "I told you, you're going to be an amazing mother", he flashed me a knowing smile. "Would you care to join us for dinner?", Rachel stuck her head through the kitchen doorway expectantly. " That sounds wonderful Rachel", Grey responded as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and looked down at little Ari, who was fast asleep in my arms.
"Dinner is ready", Rachel called from the kitchen. I gently placed Ari in her bassinet and left her to sleep. As we made our way to the kitchen my lower back began to hurt, making me have a slight limp. "Are you okay?", Grey whispered in my ear as he led me to the table. "I'm fine, just a little back pain", I responded quickly not wanting to draw too much attention to myself. Grey gave me a look that told me not to lie as his hand drifted to my lower back and began to massage the painful muscles.
