My captor drug me towards the alpha's office and I knew nothing good would come from this. He would blame me for what had happened, he always did.

I was roughly pushed into the office before the door was slammed and the lock echoed as it clicked into space. Immediately, I fell to my knees and lowered my head, knowing it would be worse if I was not respectful. Maybe I could get out of this one unscarred?

"What have you done you sorry, worthless whore", he growled grabbing me by the neck and pulling me up so my feet where hanging above the carpet. I gasp and struggled for air as my supply was cut off.

Don't fight back, don't fight back, he's not going to kill you, it'll only make it worse.

Before I could, breathlessly, answer I was back in the carpet. Tears sprang to my eyes when he released me and I sucked in as much air as possible, sputtering as I tried to answer him.

"I asked you a question", he roared kicking me hard in the ribs. There was no way to form a coherent sentence as the precious air was repeatedly forced out of my lungs.

"Get up, get up, GET UP!" he yelled pulling me up by the hair. I winced but held in a whimper.

Don't give him anything.

"I should've killed you a long time ago, now you've tainted him with you're filth", he threw me at the desk causing it to break in half. A sickening snap echoed and a searing pain shot through my leg. I ignored it and tried to stand up again. This only made him angrier as he grabbed me and threw me. I heard glass shatter and felt something pierce my skin in several places.

Before I knew what was happening I'd hit the ground outside the pack house. Pain exploded from every inch of my body. There was glass everywhere, in my skin, on the ground, still falling from above me.

Seconds later half of the smashed desk flew through the window. Crash! I curled into a ball as the desk hit the ground beside me.

Opening my eyes, I saw the wooden leg of the desk had punctured the ground less than a centimeter from my face.

I slowly pulled myself up

Run

RUN YOU IDIOT!

Do I have to do everything myself?

An excruciating pain ripped through my body as I shifted for the first time in four years, and my wolf, who'd gone silent years ago, took over. I didn't know where she was taking me but I knew I sure as hell wasn't coming back.

Tree branches whipped at our snout and the occasional sharp twig made me wince as it hit our paw. She pushed herself to run until we were exhausted and then even further until she had nothing left.

Eventually, she gave me control and I stopped, without taking notice of my surroundings, and laid down on the muddy ground. Darkness encompassed my vision and I couldn't even tell what form I was in anymore as I faded in and out of consciousness.

"She doesn't smell like a rogue", a male voice spoke first. I couldn't pinpoint his location without my eyes, and I didn't have enough energy to open them.

"Someone call Grey and tell him to bring the pack doctor", a second male voice replied, this one closer than the last.

"Don't touch me!" the voice that came from me sounded inhuman as they attempted to move me. I clawed at their hands, coming back with blood from one of them and earning a loud hiss before a blanket was thrown over me. I had to be in human form then.

"She's so small"

"Looks like a runt"

They mumbled amongst themselves but didn't try to touch me again.
