Can I Gain Back What I Have Lost?

IT IS NEVER TO LATE!!!

   Legolas pov

                  Legolas walked  through the forest, nursing his leg. Everything was a blur of tears and pain. Why had he ever had hope. He could not return to  Mirkwood. He could not walk through the halls and see her gost.  Why had he not listened to his father? Why did he choose to love?  Soon every thing was a swirl of color, until finally every thing went black.

      He woke up in bed, still in a daze. Muffled sounds, blurred figures walked in the room. Reaching a hand down to his legs and feeling a bandage, Legolas collapsed flat back on his bed. A sharp pain throbbed at his head when a  voice said " He has lost so much blood, he's lucky he'll be fine!".

     Hours later  Legolas  struggled to open his heavy eyes. The ivory etching  along the wall of the room he was in was a sure sign that he logged in Rivendale.  Legolas did not know how he had got there nor did he care to find out. His heart was heavy and lost in a sea of despair  and hopelessness. He wanted to hate her, to shut her out of his thoughts completely. That was impossible, she was apart of him, the air he breathed, in the strides he walked, in every shadow..... 

     " Your heart is heavy son of Thraduil." 

     Legolas was startled as Lord Elrond sat beside him. He thrust his present thoughts to the side hope  Lord Elrond had not sensed his thoughts. "Do you know why i have come?" asked Legolas.

 " Yes, you seek strider, son of Arothon. He is waiting for you out in court yards." spoke Lord Elrond.

     Legolas jumped up. " How long have i lay asleep?" He Asked. " Nearly 2 Weeks."  " You were badly wounded!".  Legolas looked  up in amazement and said "  Hantanyel  melon. ( thank you my friend)".  And with that legolas  started to walk out of the room when Elrond said " She loves you, more than you know. Do not give up hope."  Legolas was stunned by these words and said nothing but puzzling over this , he kept walking.

   Tauriels Pov

   Tauriel walked through the forest and, climbed in the trees.  Her spirits were lifted a little now that she was closer to home , but there was still a  worry that she would not be pardoned. 

    A noise interrupted her thoughts. Some one screaming, an elf in fact! She peered around a tree to see at least 2 dozen spiders deciding which elf to feed on first! " This is what happens when Legolas and myself leave for a couple weeks!".

     The spider was just about to feast when Tauriel leaped from  a tree and stabbed it with her knives  . She quickly cut the whole company of elves free and told them to fight. Once  they all saw their old captain they regained the courage and obeyed her every order.  Once he was set free the elf that had been taking the command of the guard, ran away like the coward that he was. He was never seen again.

       The guard  amazed and proud, watched there old leader fight with every thing she had in her and not one soldier was lost that day. They all were so over joyed that they had someone in command again that knew what she was doing.

   When the battle was through, they had  conquered  the foul creatures and driven them away. All of a sudden, all eyes turned towards Tauriel. They all bowed to her, and she thought to her self the only thing  missing is Legolas. She frowned at the thought.  "  Ablenen hine  " she   ordered and the guard marched in formation behind her to the palace of the wood land relm.

    With a heavy breath, Tauriel walked into the throne room to see a grinning Thailand. "Tauriel, you are welcome here."  he said happy to see her. She was so happy she forgot what she was doing and ran into his arm, tears streaking her face. Thailand was surprised also but he did nothing else but  whisper " Welcome home". 

        Later that evening he called her to his studies.  He went strait to the point " Tauriel, the truth is that every one has missed you and my guard has not been very  since you and legolas left. they all want you back. So if you would like it the position is yours." 

   Tauriel was ecstatic. "   I will do my best to serve you my lord." "Good, you may go." he said with approval in his voice. As she  bowed and turned to leave he called to her" Tauriel, forgive me. My son loved you and i know you have always loved him. I did not want him to get hurt."  She turned to him with a tear in her eye and said " I fear it is to late!". " It is never to late. His heart belongs to you and you alone. I see that now. He still loves you Tauriel." " How do you know!" she cried. " Because i know my son." he whispered.  There was a silence until Thailand spoke  once more" Go now and rest....... Lady Tauriel". she looked at him in amazement and turned to leave.
