Can I Have This Dance?
Chapter 2
Dinner was fake as usual. Me and Clair pretended that we were the best of friends and as close as ever but when the parents left to go to bed so that we could clean up, we instantly moved away from each other.
The insults started and then she pissed me off so bad that I slapped her, making her reflex and slap me and before I could punch her back Aaron separated us and called us immature, before he cleaned up the table and dismissed us.
I silently stomped up the stairs (a skill I learned) into the bathroom to see how bad my cheek was. I touched it and felt it sting, watching the bruise immerge on my cheek. I sighed, took a shower, changed into my pj's before I went to sleep, dreaming about killing Clair and dumping her in the river.
I woke up refreshed and ready for another hideous and dreadful morning and day at school.
"Nicki wake up," Aaron shouted outside of my bedroom door
I happily got up, took a shower and decided to wear a floral skirt today with a white vest top and black shoes, leaving my hair down before I grabbed my bag and went to eat breakfast.
"Morning," I said to Aaron
"Morning," he said back
I ate my usual cereal and cleaned up my plate. Since there was no sign of Clair I knew that she must have gone to Alex's house last night and obviously not come back.
"Time to go," Aaron said throwing me my keys and taking his
"Alrighty," I said enthusiastically
He just looked at me, then realised why I was happy (no Clair) and just smiled before mumbling,
"You two aren't serious."
I jumped in my car, turned the music on my CD up and sang along to it on my ride to school. Just as I was about to park in my usual parking space, Alex's car swerved into the space making me break fast.
"Sh**" I said pressing hard on my horn
Not to my surprise Clair was in the passenger seat smiling evilly at me while Alex just smirked at me before Clair pulled him towards her and they made out. It was such a disgusting sight it was like she was sucking his face off, ERH!
I had to park all the way near the entrance which was far from the actual school. By the time I got to my homeroom I was as pissed as ever, ignoring all the stares including Drake and Katie, who knew to leave me alone.
NO ONE EVER PARKED IN MY SPACE!!!!!!
When the bell went off signalling lesson time, I grabbed my bag and stormed out, reminding myself to not let the stupidest and most ignorant couple alive to get to me.
"Wow, your really pissed off aren't you," I heard Aiden say from behind me making me slow down to his pace.
"Na, you don't say," I stated sarcastically
"Alright, Alright don't get your thongs in a twist," he said chuckling and throwing his arm over my shoulder.
He knew that saying 'don't get your thongs in a twist,' always made me laugh which I did helping me forget about what just happened.
"Thanks," I said hugging his side
"What are friends for," he answered pulling me closer in a side hug
"Nicki I'm sorry for what Clair and Alex did this morning," Aaron said approaching us
"A, I just made her forget about that," Aiden complained
