Chapter Thirty- Six: Dark

Ethan's POV:

I got a call from Roman.  I still have his security to keep me safe in all the travels I had.  I knew  he liked Riri and time will come na gagawa siya ng paraan para makuha ang gusto niya. 

We've met in a coffee shop na kagagaling ko lang sa aking meeting with business partners. 

" Let me get this straight Ethan,  I like Riri."

" I know Roman.  You can't hide that stares to him and your constant calls and texts."

" Aren't you afraid that I will surely have him are you? "

" I'm not.  I already have his heart.  He will never be yours."

" I am thinking of diversionary tactics."

" It won't goddamn happen " I simply stated.

"Are you sure?  Coz I 'm thinking of pulling out all my security to all of your businesses, your mother's businesses rather.  That's clearly havoc right?  It will surely blows up all your beloved establishments. "

" you're a piece of shit aren't you Roman? . Your  father won't  approve you that.  You're being that arrogant and embecile shit. You can't have him. Neither did he likes you."

" Ethan.. Ethan.. I get what I want.  Call me any profanities you knew.  Oh! Guess what?  I DON'T CARE.  I will have him,  I will make him mine,  I will make him forget you.  For my whole entire life,  I couldn't believe I felt like this fucking shit for someone and it was surprisingly for him!"

Nakatayo siya habang dinuduro ako.  People around us were not giving a damn care.

" So, are you trying to kidnap me? ".

Akala niya hindi ko napansin ang mga tauhan niya na nasa labas.

" I apologize for that.  But..You don't know my feelings!.  Nobody feels what I fucking feel!"

" You're  fucking immature! "

" Yes! Oh god Ethan I am! . From now on,  play dumb,  when you get to your home,  act like you don't know him,  you lose your memory,  you were in a shitty accident or what...."

" AND WHAT IF I DON'T HUH?! "
Kinwelyuhan ko siya at aakto na sanang pumasok ang mga tauhan niya pero sininyasan  na ito na nagbabawal sa kanila.

" You don't fully know me Ethan!. I will surely kill your mother, I will kill you then,  expose everything I know about your company,  aired blasphemous things about you and your beloved mother...  Mmmm what else...  I'm still thinking..."

Sinuntok ko siya at bigla siyang natumba.  Tumawa lang siya at pinunasan ang kanyang ilong na dumudugo.

"you're a fucking bastard!"

"unfortunately... I am. I always get what I want Ethan.. Tss"

" He will be hurt Roman!  He doesn't deserve to be hurt again.  I can't.  I. ... Fuck...  I can't do this.  I don't want to see him cry,  to see him fucking torn!  I will be marrying him soon.  Just not him.  You can have all my wealth.  Fuck... I don't care with it anyways. "

" life is not meant for happy endings and fairytales Ethan. So,  the decision is yours "

" I can't"

" Okay then,  I'll start off with your Mother"

Bigla siyang kumuha ng cellphone at parang may dinial.

"wait... "

" yes? "

Hindi ko siya sinagot.

" what now Ethan?"

Binalot ko ang kamay ko sa mukha ko and nodded.

"good".

Umalis siya sa harapan ko at pinipigilan ko ang pagbagsak ng mga luha ko. 

Riri....

I even can't concentrate.  Mom's been shouting at me so much.  Nasa opisina niya ako.

" mom, wala.... tayong magagawa dito"

" putang inang Roman na iyan. Wala ka bang tiwala sa akin?!  Just give me some time. I'll take care of myself so you don't have to worry about me."

" what are your plans?"

" I'm still on it at ikaw! You just have to stick to his fucking plan. Please make sure na safe si Riri."

" how am I suppose to do that!"

"what? Tinatanong mo pa ba yan sa akin Ethan?!, gamitin mo nga 'yang utak mo! I know Riri will get hurt, madedepress yan, just...keep an eye on him. And I'll make sure mawawala yang Roman na yan sa buhay natin. He dares to threatened us? He will never reap what he sow. Hindi niya tayo kilala."

" I can't mom. Can I just stay here? Ayokong makita siya. Ipalabas mo na missing pa ako from an accident or.  "

" are you crazy?. Lalong magwawala si Riri. And Roman will surely shoot me then. You have to stick to his plans. I promise you, just ... give me more time to plan this shit"

" I don't know mom".

Tumulo na ang luha ko thinking of Riri. We were at the point of blissful happiness and then this fucking thing delves in.

It's been 4 days. I was getting so many calls from Riri and texts from Jessica and Alexander.

I'm still thinking what to do. Should I give up?. I have no other plans but to stick to what Roman wanted.

I packed my things, bid goodbye to my mother in tears telling me to break Riri's heart slowly but with a hint of hope. I just have to. Even if it hurts like been thrown into fire.

I just have to.

I tried to stay calm, fighting myself to not cry and burst into floody tears. I'm fidgeting and was fucking nervous.

"fuck"

I can't relax. I almost out of breath. Tumulo na ang mga luha at napahagulhul ng iyak.

" sir?". Tawag sa akin ng driver.

" let's just stay here for a minute".
He parked the car near the mansion as I burst into tears.
I punched myself because I deserve this. I am so fucking weak.

Then I prayed to heavens...

Na sana, hindi ako bibitawan ni Riri.

Na sana andyan pa rin ang pagmamahal niya sa akin sa kabila ng gagawin ko sa kanya

That Elizabeth will take action as soon as possible

That I will not cry as fuck to him

That I will still win his heart after this

Na sana...

Ikakasal kami at magiging kami sa bandang huli.

I prayed that all to heaven.

"sir?"

I nodded and from now on...

Wala akong kilalang baklang Riri.
