It's not like any of us had a choice in this. The hospital was ordered to implant these things in us when we were born. It was the first thing they did after cutting the umbilical cord.

These devices were placed in our wrists and displayed a timer on the outside. Almost like a tattoo on you. The timers showed dashes until you turned ten. Then the anxiety would set in. On your tenth birthday the timer would set and replace the dashes with numbers. There was so much pressure and weight put into these numbers. Too much for a ten year old to handle in my opinion.

The numbers placed on your wrist were a written symbol of how much time you had until you found your soul mate. The time was exact down to the second. Always counting down until it zeroed out. Because when the timer finally hit zero and clocked out, that was when you looked your soul mate in the eyes.

The entire world was constantly sitting around just waiting. Waiting for their timers to zero out.

SO I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CALL THE MAIN GIRL!! Please comment with what you think I should name her!

Should I name her:

1. Stella

2. Romie

3. Aaralyn

4. Penelope

5. Tanzie
