"Michael please don't go!" I whined, grabbing his hand and pulling him back down into the bed.

"Babe you know I can't." He gave me a small kiss on my cheek. "My plane leaves in an hour and half. I really have to go."

Michael was leaving for a week to go back to Australia. I begged him to take me with him but he refused. Every time I asked why he would try and avoid the subject or say "I have family things to take care of." I wasn't exactly sure he was telling the truth but I trusted him and I was hopping if I dropped it he would eventually tell me what was going on.

Michael rolled off the bed again, this time grabbing his shirt as he did so and threw it on. His tattoo was slightly peaking out from the short sleeves of his shirt and I couldn't help but stare at the print on his bicep. "To The Moon" was so beautifully written across his skin. He had told me once that he got it in hopes that when he found his soul mate she would get a matching one that said "To The Stars" meaning "I love you to the moon and to the stars", something we had started saying to each other every night before we fell asleep. It was cute and I loved it because it was something of our own. Michael told me how his parents would say it to each other when he was a kid. No matter how mad they were with each other they were always reminding each other how much they loved each other.

Maybe while Michael was gone I would surprise him by getting the other half of the tattoo. I had always wanted a tattoo I just didn't know what of but I honestly loved the idea of having a matching one with Michael. It would only bring us closer.

"I'm gonna miss you too much." his voice broke me from my tattooed thoughts.

I smiled up at him as he stood over me. "You wouldn't have to miss me if you brought me with you." I tested him.

He gave me a look, silently telling me to not test him right now. "Ro." he said with a stern voice.

"I know I know." I rolled my eyes at him, standing up from the bed to hug him.

He wrapped his arms around my body and pulled me into him, squeezing me against his chest like he never wanted to let me go. "You know I love you right?" he whispered into my ear, letting go of me.

I nodded. "I know you do. I love you too." I leaned forward and placed a gentle, quick kiss on his lips. "To the moon."

"And to the stars." he responded, kissing me again. "I don't know if I can go a week without this." he whispered against me lips.

"Same." I whispered back.

He leaned his forehead up against mine and spoke again. "I really have to go now Ro."

I nodded in response not wanting to say anything. "I'll see you in a week." He began walking towards the door, leaving me behind in the bedroom.

"Call me when you get there!" I called out after him.

"I will." he shouted as I heard The front door open. "I love you."

"Love you too." I whispered the words to myself knowing he wouldn't hear me.

My breathing grew thicker and my sobs grew deeper as the phone rang. Waiting for Michael to pick up. I was just about to hang up when I heard his raspy accent on the other side.

"Romie?" he whispered into the phone.

"I'm so sorry Michael. I'm so sorry." I cried. "I love you so much. I'm so sorry." I repeated the words over and over.

I heard Michael take a deep breath on the other line. "Romie what happened?"

"I'm so sorry Michael. So sorry." I couldn't manage to say anything else.
