Before I start this chapter I just want to say a quick thank you to everyone that has been reading Zero Out. I reached 2,500 reads the other night and I definitely never thought that would ever happen so thank you to everyone who's stuck with me by reading this and everyone who has started reading my newest story. I love you all! And sorry for the long wait for this chapter. I had finals...enough said. But now I'm on summer break so updates should come sooner. Hope you like this chapter and sorry it's going to be relatively short but I'll update again soon.
Ashton's POV.
"Hey Linds." I spoke into my phone, laying down on my bed.
"Hey!" she screamed into the phone, causing me to pull the device away from my ear. "I'm leaving here right now. I should be at your place in fifteen minutes."
Lindsay had been spending more time at my place than her own recently. She was getting annoyed with her sister always being home with her and decided she needed space. I didn't mind though. I loved when she was over everyday.
"Ok. Sounds good. See you soon." I responded before hanging up.
The next fifteen minutes went by fast as I looked for something to watch on the tv while I waited for Lindsay to get here. I heard the door open and the sound of her boots across the floor as she made her way to my bedroom to meet me.
She threw herself onto the bed next to me, instantly pressing a kiss to my lips before resting her head on my chest. "What are we watching?" she finally spoke up after getting comfortable against my body.
We had gotten to the point where a proper "hello" wasn't needed. We both were comfortable enough to just brake into our normal routines without greeting each other. Some days we didn't even talk. But it wasn't an uncomfortable silence, more of a trustworthy silence. We didn't need to talk when we were together. Things were just...easy with her. We could have fun doing nothing.
I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and pulled her little body closer to me. "Nothing yet. I'm trying to find a movie."
After another five minutes of looking I found some lame 'made for tv' movie and put it on. We laid in a comfortable silence, cuddled up against each other until she broke the silence.
"Have you told her yet?" she didn't need to elaborate. I knew exactly what she meant.
I gave her an apologetic look as she say up in the bed to face me.
"Ash!" she whined.
"Linds!" I whined back, mimicking her voice.
I ran my fingers through my hair thinking of an excuse as to why I hadn't told Romie about us yet. "I'm sorry ok. She's still in Australia and I just don't know how she will react to us being together. It's the last thing any of us expected. Just imagine what she'll do."
She glared at me and crossed her arms across her chest. She looked so beautiful when she pouted. Her curly brown hair was covering half her face and her bright green eyes peered out at me.
"When does she get back?"
"Tomorrow."
"Tell her then." She demanded.
"I will."
"Promise?" Lindsay held her pinky out to me.
"Promise." I agreed, wrapping my pinky around hers.
I leaned forward, pulling her towards me and planted a kiss on her forehead and anther on her lips.
She smiled up at me and bit back her bottom lip, something she knew drove me crazy.
