I didn't exactly mean to say that out loud. It kind of just happened but as soon as the words left my mouth the smile on galaxy heads face faded, and quickly.

"Sorry." I whispered as I took a step closer to him, offering him a smile so I didn't seem as bitchy.

He took a step closer to me and lifted up his hand, "I..I'm Uhh Michael." his voice cracked as he said his name. Michael huh? He looked more like a Zander to me. But I suppose Michael worked. I could live with that.

"Romie." I came back with, grabbing his hand and shaking it. "What's with the hair?" I'm probably the only person that would say that right after meeting the guy they were supposed to spend the remainder of their life with. If that didn't describe me I don't know what did.

Michael chuckled and ran his hand through his hair. "I don't know. I got bored." I couldn't help but giggle at his response. It sounded like something I would do.

"So mind telling me why you slammed on your breaks?" I questioned him, suddenly becoming very serious.

The smile faded from his face once more and he turned around to face his car. "Ya, umm sorry. There was a squirrel in the middle of the road. I didn't want to hit it."

Are you fucking kidding me? A squirrel? He slammed on his brakes and crashed our cars because of a squirrel? I had to spend the rest of my life with this idiot? Did the universe hate me? Although part of me thought it was adorable he had surrendered his own car for the life of an irrelevant animal, a bigger part of me just wanted to run him over with his own car.

I finally spoke up after giving him a confused look for what felt like 10 minutes. "Are you serious?" a laugh left my mouth as the words did. He couldn't be serious right?

Michael looked back up at me and nodded as he chuckled. Holy shit this fucker was actually serious. What was wrong with him? That hair dye must of seriously screwed up his brain.

The only thing I could think of to say was "oh". He apologized a few more times after that.

"Are you ok?" He asked finally realizing I was upset about the accident. "I hope you aren't hurt. I really didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't realize how close you guys were to me." I wasn't sure if he was genuinely worried or if he just felt like he should be worried now.

"Ya I'm fine." I nodded just as Ashton got out of the car and walked up to us.

"Hey Romie? What's taking so long?" Ash asked as he walked up behind me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

Before I could answer Michael spoke up and looked at us like he had just walked in on us fooling around. "Oh are you guys together? Is this your boyfriend?" the concern and embarrassment was clear in his voice.

Ashton and I looked at each other and both quickly responded. "Eww No!" I yelled at the same time Ashton said "Yes!" Michael looked so confused at this point. I glared at Ashton and pushed his arm off my shoulder as I slapped his chest.

"No we aren't together. This is Ashton. He's my best friend." I explained as Michael's face seemed to loosen up again as he realized he had no competition.

"Ginge who is this?" Ashton asked from behind me. I forgot to tell him that both Michael and I had our timers go off as we looked at each other a few minutes earlier.

"Oh umm..Michael. He is the 'the one'" I said using air quotes as I said the words.

Ashton's face fell for a second and then his smile reappeared seconds later. "Oh shit! Romie! I'm so excited for you! Hey bro I'm Ashton." he said walking up to Michael and pulling him in for an uncomfortable hug as Michael gave him a head nod as to say 'hey'. "I'm not even mad about my car anymore." Ashton said pulling away from Michael. It annoyed me how easily Ashton could forgive and forget. I mean I was still ready to kill Michael for what he did.
