"Hey Michael." I yawned into the phone as rolled over to grab it before it woke up Ashton.

"Uhh hey. Did I wake you up?" he whispered.

It was only 10 in the morning of course he woke me up! "No it's fine. I was just getting up." I lied, trying to keep my voice down so Ash could sleep.

"oh ok good. Well I was wondering if you wanted to maybe hang out tonight?" there was a long silence before he spoke again. "Since we haven't done anything together yet."

It's been a week since Michael and I first met on the highway after hitting each other. He's been calling me almost everyday to see if I wanted to do something and every night I tell him to call back the next day as I make up some lame excuse as to why I can't hang out that day. I don't know why I just really didn't want to hang out with him yet. I was putting it off for as long as I could. There was no need to rush into this. I had the ret of eternity to be with him. Couldn't I just wait twenty more years before having to start something with him? "I think I made plans with Ashton tonight." I lied to him again. A few little white lies couldn't hurt.

I heard Michael take a deep breath on the other side of the phone and mutter something to himself that I couldn't quite understand. "Oh well, just let me know when you are free?" it came out as more than a question than a statement. "Have fun with Ashton tonight" he said into the phone before hanging up.

I knew he was probably getting super frustrated with me for bailing on him so much but like I said before, there was no rule that said we had to get into this relationship right now.

"How many more times are you going to blow the poor guy off Romie?" his voice was raspy from sleeping.

I glared at him and turned onto my back so I wouldn't have to see him. "You're supposed to be sleeping". my words came off harsh and I knew they weren't supposed to be that mean.

Ashton reached his hand up and turned my head so that I was looking at him once again, "Seriously Romie." he said, refusing to move his hand from my face in fear that I would look away from him again. "Just go out with him. What harm can it do?" he whispered to me.

"I just don't feel like hanging out with him." I whined, biting at Ashton's fingers on my cheek so he would move them but instead he just flicked me in the forehead.

He propped himself on his elbow and looked down at me. "Stop acting like you're twelve and just go and hang out with the poor boy."

I followed his lead and propped myself up on my elbow, staring at him. "Fine I will next week."

Ash rolled his eyes at me and plopped back down on the pillow dragging me down with him. "You're impossible." he whispered in my ear as he kissed my forehead and wrapped his arm around my waist as I rested on his chest, falling back asleep.

When I woke back up I realized I was no longer cuddled up with Ashton but I was completely alone in the bed now. How dare he leave me. I wasn't sure how late it was now but I was too lazy to even get out of bed, but my stomach had other ideas. It wouldn't shut up. I was starting to make dying whale sounds and I decided I better get some food in my system before I died of starvation.

I rolled out of bed and pulled my hair into a messy bun on top of my head as I walked to the kitchen. My eyes were barely adjusting to the brightness of the sun so I decided walking with my eyes closed was a better idea. This worked for a while until I bumped straight into Ashton. When I finally opened my eyes I noticed he was standing over the stove, wearing nothing but boxers. Ashton may be my best friend but there was no denying he was attractive, very attractive.
