Ever since Romie had arrived we had been avoiding sitting down and talking to my parents. They of course had met her, but very quickly and they knew nothing about her. Only the little things I had told them.
She was nervous, of course she was. But who wasn't terrified to meet their girlfriends and boyfriends parents. She had been here a little over a week and hadn't said more than a few words to them. I knew she was scared but it had to be done sooner or later.
I sat on the bed watching her get ready to leave. I could see the panic building in her. She wouldn't stop moving for more than a few seconds and everything she did was rushed and fidgety. I could tell how stressed she was becoming over this. And even through the rising anxiety levels in the room she still looked absolutely beautiful. Her long, curled, red hair was flowing down her back and over her shoulders. The laced maroon dress she was wearing fit her in the most perfect way, making her look even more attractive than she already was. The freckles on her skin looked even more adorable than usual and her green eyes popped more than ever.
"Ro, baby come here." I reached out for her hand and pulled her in between my legs. "You need to calm down. You're giving me anxiety."
I squeezed her hands in mine and spread my legs a little farther, letting her sit on one of my legs. "Sorry." Her little voice barely broke a whisper.
"It's fine." I reassured her, rubbing her thigh. "I know you're nervous."
She frantically nodded her head and took a few deep breaths, looking me straight in the eyes. "I can't do this."
"Look at me Ro." I tilted her head towards me. "They'll love you, even more than they already do. You need to just be yourself. That's how I fell in love with you and they will too. You're absolutely beautiful inside and out and if they don't see that then screw them because I love you for you and I don't want you to ever change."
I felt her body loosen up and the stress leave her soul. "I love you." She said, leaning in to kiss my lightly on the lips. "Do I look ok?"
"Are you fucking kidding me? Romie you look so hot right now. And that tattoo, it looks sexy." I leaned over and kissed the tattoo on her arm she had gotten yesterday. "It only adds to my attraction for you."
I smiled up at her then placed my lips to her chest, kissing the exposed skin. I felt her skin rise under my touch as she dropped her head backwards allowing me move my lips up her neck. I tightened my grip around her waist, sucking at the skin under her ear. She let out a slight moan, causing me to smile into her.
"Shit Michael." she whispered although it came out more of a panting moan. "We can't right now. We have to meet your parents."
I continued to kiss her neck before tearing my lips away from her. "I know I know sorry. I couldn't help myself. You just look so..." I bit my lip back before I could finish my sentence.
"Alright horn dog, let's go!" she joked, standing up from my lap, grabbing my hand, pulling me behind her. "We can finish this when we get back. I promise."

"So Romie, you're 19, correct?" my father asked as he shoveled a fork full of ravioli into his mouth.
"Yes. Our timers actually went off on my 19th birthday." Her voice was shaky and she nervously laughed after speaking.
"Oh really? Michael you didn't tell us that?" my mum chirped in.
"Ya sorry." I shrugged.
Romie was franticly shaking her leg under the table. A nervous habit of hers I had noticed a while ago. I slowly inched my chair closer to hers, placing my hand on her thigh to stop her from shaking. She jumped a little at my touch and then slowly calmed her me down as she wrapped her tiny fingers around mine. I instantly felt her relax and knew she would stay that way at least for a little while.
