You sat in your seat, wringing your hands. You couldn't believe it was finally here. After so many hours of studying and stress, the day of your college graduation had finally arrived. You were wringing your hands because you were certain you were going to trip as you walked across the stage. However, you had a wonderful support group. The Avengers. They were your closest friends. Your family. Especially your boyfriend, Steve.

Steve had been there the entire time. Every late night when you felt like giving up, Steve was there encouraging you, telling you that you could do it. The others were there too. Tony and Natasha were the ones to make certain you took breaks every once on a while so you didn't overload your brain. You were just grateful that they were all there, waiting to watch you walk across the stage. You needed them right now.

"Y/F/N." It was finally your turn. Taking a deep breath, you walked up on the stage and made your way over. From the corner of your eye, you could see Steve with the camera you'd gotten him the Christmas before. He was snapping picture after picture. He was your focus as you took your degree and left the stage. "I love you," Steve mouthed and you responded in kind before going back to your seat for the rest of the ceremony.

When they announced the graduation was done, you couldn't get out of there fast enough. You'd finally done it. You'd graduated. "Y/N!" You whipped your head around to see Steve there, a bright smile on his face. "Steve!" You ran to him and threw your arms around his neck. "You did it, Doll." You giggled, hugging him closer.

"There she is! The woman of the hour!" Clint exclaimed, causing you to pull away from Steve. "Congrats, kid." You smiled and hugged him too. "Thanks, Clint." Then it dawned on you that everyone was staring in your direction. It was as if the Red Sea had parted.

"The Avengers? What are they doing here?" someone asked and you grinned. Steve put his arm around you and kissed your temple. "We're here because we believe that education is the powerful thing anyone can have. Our Y/N here just got her degree and we couldn't be more proud," Tony explained, smiling at you. "And I've decided to throw a party in her honor. In honor of all the graduates." You rolled your eyes playfully. Any excuse to throw a party.

Steve grinned and handed his camera to someone. "Hey about a photo? Of all of us?" The stranger took the camera with shaking hands. You soon found yourself squished between all the Avengers which made you laugh. After the picture was taken, Tony took Steve's camera while Steve's attention was on you. "I'm so proud of you, Doll." He leaned in and kissed you, earning an "AW" from the entire crowd.

You had hoped that would be the end of it, but of course, Tony was true to his word and threw a rather large party for your entire graduating class a week later. Throughout the night, Steve stayed glued to your side. "What are you going to do now?" he asked you suddenly. You shrugged. "Start my career, maybe. Or take a few months to relax." Steve chuckled. "You've earned it. Do you think you could stick around the Tower for a bit? I'd love to have some uninterrupted time with you."

You snorted. "Steve, you're Captain America. Our time will never be uninterrupted." You both laughed. "True. But I'd love to spend time with you where you aren't worrying about studying." You grinned. "I'd like that." Steve gave you a little squeeze. "Oh, I have something for you." You sighed. "Steve, you done so much for me already." Steve kissed you before pulling a box from behind the couch. "Yeah, but this was nothing." He handed you the box.

You opened it and gasped. Inside was a book. A book of Steve's drawings. Sketches of you. Of everyone. Your entire relationship in sketch form. From your first date until the graduation. He had made a sketch of the group photo you'd taken as well as one of the photo of you and Steve kissing. Tony had taken the picture, unbeknownst to you or even Steve until later. "Thank you, Steve. It's beautiful." There were tears in your eyes. "You're welcome,Doll. I know it's not much, but I couldn't think of a more appropriate gift to come from me." You kissed him to stop his rambling. "It's perfect."
