Chapter 9: Selfish

Jaylin p.o.v

"SSSSSSAAAAAGGGGGGGEEEEE!"

I hear a male voice scream as we walk towards the pack house.

The pack house was huge! It looked to be 4 stories high. The walls were oak wood and the drive way was stone tile. The tile split into two then connected again. In between them was a waterfall fountain.

Sage lead me into the house where it was even more beautiful. The walls were a polished and stained dark oak wood. The floors were white carpet in some areas and in others it was dark oak.

As we walked through the house sage growled at any male who looked at me. All I could do was send them apologetic smiles and keep walking.

Alaska and a man, who I'm guessing is her mate, walks up to us.

"What is it now Liam?"

Sage asks the man.

"I just wanted to meet my Luna!"

Liam asks and I smile. Sage nudges me forward and I go.

"Hello Luna, I am beta Liam."

Liam introduces himself and we shake hands.

"I'm Jaylin, but everyone calls me Jay. Please call me that, Luna is to formal."

I tell Liam and he smiles and nods.

"Jay! Your alive after the argument between your father and this douche bag!"

Alaska shouts as she falls into my arms. I smile as I hand her back to Liam. He throws her over his shoulder and carries her away.

'Are you talking to bash?'

I ask Spark and I get no reply. All I feel is Sage's arm wrap around my waist.

"Let's go to our room."

He says and I nod. He leads me to our room which is on the very top floor.

We walk in and I'm met with a extra large king sized bed that's covered in red and black sheets. The carpet under my feet is black and the walls are a crimson red. There are 2 doors on the left wall of the room. There is a desk, couch, TV, and many game consoles in the room as well.

"Sage can I ask you something?"

I ask him as he shuts the door behind me.

"Sure?"

He says but it sounds more like a qustion.

"Why do you feel so distant? Why are you the way you are?"

I ask him and he sighs. He begins to whisper something under his breath.

"Show no pain
Do not cry
You will be slain
You will die

Show no emotion
Forever be strong
Have control of the commotion
And your rule will be long."

He whispers and I furrow my eyebrows. He grabs his head and whimpers slightly.

"Sage don't make Bash do this. He just wants his mate and your denying him."

I tell Sage softly and he looks at me.

"Please, make him stop."

Sage pleads with me but I shake my head.

"Only you can do that Sage. Bash wants you to accept me now. Whatever happened in the past, it's long gone."

I tell him and he falls so the floor holding his head.

Sage's p.o.v

'ACCEPT HER! I WANT MY MATE!'

Bash screams at me as he forces another painful head ache apon me. The pain is unreal. I can now slightly imagine was a she wolf feels when going through birth.

'Oh you wanna feel that? Okay!'

Bash says way to enthusiastically. I fall on the ground screaming in pain as I feel my whole body wrack in pain.

This pain is sharp. Sharper than knives. It engulfed my entire body to the point where I want to die.

'BASH PLEASE STOP!'

I scream at him yet he only chuckles.

'You are causing this! Sage! My mate is near and you are denying me her! Doing this to an alpha can cause them to become worse than a Rouge! Worse than the most vile of men! Your doing this to yourself! You are sage! You!!'

Bash shouts as he launches even more pain onto me. I feel his pain that he feels being away from Jay. My heart hurts more than anything else in my body.

'IF YOU ACCEPT HER I WILL STOP! REJECT HER AND I'LL KILL YOU! ACCEPT HER! ACCEPT HER!!!!!'

Bash screams at me as he throws another painful head ache at me. I scream out as I do the only think I can.

"I accept Jaylin Moore as my mate!"

I scream in pain and Jay gasps. Bash stops the head aches and I slowly getting up.

Bash feels more calm than before. The head aches have stopped and the pain has subsided.

I slowly open my eyes again to see Jay smiling. She looks into my eyes and I try not to smile.

Her smile diminishes as she dosent see my smile. Her eyes glaze over and a frown covers her face. The mate bond causes this to break my heart.

"Y-you only did this to make the pain s-stop?"

She asks as tears filled her eyes. I nodded slowly and she gasped.

"You selfish jerk! I wanted to have a chance with you and I thought you did as well! But no! You only did this to make the pain stop! Apparently you are as evil as they say you are. Sage Blake, I hate you!"

She shouts at me and she storms into the bathroom. Bash cries himself as he blocks me out.

Soon I hear a door slam open and I turn around to face a fuming Alaska. A fuming Liam follows behind her.

"SAGE BLAKE! YOU HURT MY BEST FRIEND! you'll get what's coming to you."

Alaska screams in my face and she walks over to the bathroom. She knocks on the door and Jay opens it. She walks in and shuts the door behind her. Jay's sobs can be heard through the door.

"Sage I am your best friend but this has gone too far! Jay told Alaska everything! How can you be so selfish as to only accept the mate bond to stop your wolf? Sage this is too far man!"

Liam says and he punched me across the face. He then sent an upper cut my way as well. He kneed me in the stomach and swept my legs out from under me.

'You deserve it. You hurt our mate and her wolf as well. Sometimes I wish I was the human and you were the wolf.'

Bash says as he intensifies the pain that Liam delt me. Before I blacked out I saw Alaska open the bathroom door and Liam carried Jay to my bed. Liam the kicked my face which caused my black out.

'Sage, I'm going to the moon goddess to see if we can switch our forms.'

Bash said before I felt him leave my mind completely. I would wake up and have no wolf to guide me. All I would have is Jay, my mate.
