Chapter 16: middle school

Eventually Derek hid from sage and sage returned to me. We fell asleep in each others arms.

The next morning sage and I walked into his office. His office had dark oak flooring with a grey carpet under his desk and chairs surrounding it. The walls were oak, just like the rest of the house.

But there was another desk on the other side of the room. The other side of the room was different from the half sage has.

This half had white walls and a black carpet floor. The desk was dark oak and had a large leather chair behind it. On top of it was a MacBook, pens and pencils, paper, and a bunch of other office stuff.

"I chose to make half of my office yours. This way when we work together we are able to see each other."

Sage says and I smile.

"It's beautiful, thank you."

I tell him and his phone rings. He walks over and puts it on speaker.

"Alpha sage."

He says as he grabs my hand.

"Hello alpha, it's mrs.blacmen, the middle school principal. I wanted to ask you if you and the Luna would like to teach the 7th and 8th graders about the mating process."

The lady on the other end asks. He looks at me and I smile and nod. It will be fun getting to know the youth.

"We would love to. When should we be at the middle school?"

I ask her.

"Around 1 o'clock."

She says and sage smiles.

"Well be there. See you then."

Sage says and hangs up. He turns to me and smiles.

"We should get to work."

He says and I nod. I walk over to my desk and he hands me half of his stack of paper work.

By noon we finished most of the paper work and chose to go to the middle school.

"Why don't we eat with the kids?"

I ask him and he nods.

"It sounds like fun. Let's do it."

He says as we pull into the middle school. We walk in and are directed to the cafeteria. The lunch room supervisor turns on a stop light at the front of the room.

"Red light!"

A boy yells as she turns on the red light. All the students eyes are directed towards us and the supervisor.

"Student please welcome the alpha and Luna."

The supervisor says and the students begin to clap. Sage and I had subway with as.

"We are only here for a visit. Please as you were."

Sage shouts and he grabs my hand as the red light turns off. We walk around looking for a spot to sit.

We see a lot of kids move over for us to sit but they look really popular. We walk towards the back of the lunch room and we spot one table.

This table only had one kid on half of it. She seemed to be crying so we walked over to her. We sat down on either side of her and the whispers of students filled the air.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

I ask her and she looked up at me.

"It's nothing to concern you with Luna."
