A rush of happiness ran through Becca's veins making her forget about Abdullah and her. All the hard work she had done alongside Allonia and Abdullah had gifted Allonia a sweet escape to a free future. She quickly ran into the kitchen where Allonia was washing the dishes and quickly embraced her into a bone-crushing hug. Allonia confusedly huged her back trying to avoid touching Becca's clothes with her soapy hands.

"Guess what?!" Becca exclaimed. "You are going to Canada!" she squealed. Allonia nodded unable to mouth any words due to the shock.

"I am going to Canada," she choked. Becca nodded excitedly as she wiped the tear crawling down Allonia's cheek.

"Okay so we have start packing your stuff because your flight is tomorrow and we literally have no time," she said as she paced out of the kitchen towards the cupboard infrot od the beaten up sofa that had Allonia's belongings. Allonia followed after washing her hands, her feet slightly trembling as she walked, trying to take everything in and gain composure. She stood beside Becca who was taking out Allonia's stuff. Looking down at her belongings se spoke,

"You should only take things that are most needed because you'll have to carry your luggage by yourself on Canada's airport." She nodded in return agreeing with Becca, She started looking through her belongings, seperating the ones she was going to take and putting the rest to a side. She first took out a picture of her family and smiled widely at it for sometime before putting it in the pile of things she's going to be taking. As she looked through, she put her prayer mat in that pile, along with two pairs of her favourite clothes and her mom's necklace that she'd found in her dad's wallet. Becca helped her pack it and before they realized, it was already sunset. Allonia got up from the mat after folding her clothes and putting them in her backpack to go to the bathroom to do wuddhu to offer prayer.

As she prayed, Becca took out a pair of western clothes from her closet that no longer fit her for Allonia. Even though Becca was older she was very slim and slender so her clothes were around Allonia's size. After Allonia put the folded prayer mat away, she glanced over at the pink dress sitting on the sofa along with black tights. She sat down on the sofa looking at the butterfly on the pink dress staring back at her. As she ran her fingers over the cotton material, Becca walked out of the bathroom with her signature smiled plastered on her face. "I took out that outfit for you to wear tomorrow," she said as she sat down beside Allonia. "Oh and Garcia, the women who will be taking care of you in Canada will get you more clothes there so don't worry about packing clothes," she said placing her hand on Allonia's. Allonia tightened her grip around Becca's hand.

"I'll really miss you, you are my only friend left," she admitted.

"I'll miss you too and hopefully will meet you very soon! And remember to work hard and be fearless," Becca replied carresing Allonia's hand.

The last in Syria blew away in a glimpse.

"Wake up! Your flight is leaving today!" exclaimed Becca as she drew the shabby curtain of the tiny window.

"Good Morning!"greeted Allonia as she got up from the bed.

"G'morning. Let's go! you need to go to the airport four hours earlier because it is an international flight," replied Becca pulling Allonia out of the sofa and directing her to go get ready. As Allonia got ready Becca prepared breakfast for the two in the kitchen.

She quickly turned off the stove as she got out with the pancakes stacked nicely in the plate she was carrying drizzled with maple syrup her mom had sent last time. Pancakes had become one of Allonia's favourite food over the past 3 months. Allonia finally walked out of the bathroom, her hair nicely braided wearing the pink dress and black tights Becca gave her along with white sneakers. She smiled brightly making the sunlight lighting the room seem dull as she sat down on the carpet beside Becca.

"You look so amazing, Allonia," commented Becca with her curved lip forming indents on her cheeks as she placed some pancakes on Allonia's plate, handing it over to her.

"Thank you," she said as she blushed.

As they were finishing their breakfast, the door bell rang. Becca headed out opening the door to find Abdullah standing there. "Is Allonia ready?" he questioned looking down at his watch. "We are getting late." Becca nodded signaling Allonia to come with her backpack. The women quickly slid into their abayas and then headed towards the airport with Abdullah.

"Come on Allonia, let's go. You can sleep in the airplane!" exclaimed Becca as she tapped Allonia's shoulder gesturing for her to get out of the car. She didn't realize she'd gone to sleep while staring out the window at her city for the last time. Memories were flooding in her brain forming dreams putting her to sleep.

"I'm sorry!" replied Allonia as she rubbed her eyes.

"It's all good! I'm going to miss you a lot," said Becca as she grabbed Allonia's bag. Allonia got out of the car and grabbed her from her hand even though she insisted to take it in but she hated it when others had to work for her.

"I love you a lot," she replied as she hugged her tightly.

"Don't worry, I'll call you and Garcia will take good care of you," replied Becca assuringly.

"Okay ladies, we need to get going," Abdullah said as he guided them towards the entrance. As soon as they stepped in, they heard an announcement for Allonia's flight and quickly headed for 'Gate 2'. The two ladies hugged each other for the last time and bid their good byes. She turned towards Abdullah who was standing there calmly.

"Thank you Abdullah, if I had a brother he wouldn't have been as nice to me as you," she remarked.

"Well I am your brother, Aren't I?" he questioned as he looked down at Allonia. She nodded at him with a chuckle. Abdullah patted her back and handed her a copy of Quran,

"If you ever need help, this will guide you," he ensured. They bid their final goodbyes and Allonia finally headed towards the boarding gate. She waved at them for the last time before disappearing into the crowd.
