Today is the day team Kuro trains, on a nice day that isn't too hot or too cold. Its only been a week since the break and of course they've been having hardcore training by Kuroishi.
Midori, coming with her book and in normal attire. Kana in a new expensive ninja outfit and her ninja head protector shiny as ever. Akihiko however, runs to the training grounds in his swim trunks carrying three waterguns.
"Hey guys I just created these yesterday for our training!" he shouts, a huge smile visible. Kuroishi however, glares down at Akihiko.
"I said we are training not playing with water!" Kuroishi shouts. Akihiko shrieks and goes behind Midori. Kana stares in awe at the yellow colored gun reaching for it, Midori sighs and puts her book away so the water from the gun won't mess up the page.
"B-But Kuro-sensei these are for training! Whoever gets shot by the water looses, whoever hits the opponent is the winner." he explains. Kuroishi smiles understanding his motives, Kana looks in horror.
"You mean to tell me that you wanna ruin my new outfit?! Daddy just got me this yesterday!" Kana begins to freak out, Midori just stares at nothing clearly in thought.
"I wonder what Marina will be cooking tonight, or if she comes back from the mission, what should I write next after training? Maybe I ask mom about it later." Midori's thoughts travel off as she starts thinking of random things.
Soon Kana and Midori went to Kana's house to get bathing suits, Kana getting a yellow bikini that doesn't show cleavages (even though shes a raisin). Midori decided to get a black one piece but of course Kana claimed it to be too hot for a one piece and decided to give Kana a black two piece that also covered her cleavage (again with the raisins). Once they came back Akihiko couldn't help but nosebleed. Turning around he began to smile.
"My plan is working! I knew she wouldn't say "no"! Now for the fun!" Akihiko was so caught in his fantasy that Kuroishi hit him on his head.
"I thought this was for training?" he asks, raising an eyebrow at Akihiko. Akihiko nervously laughs as he throws his arm behind his head.
"Y-Yeah it is apart of training but I j-just couldn't help myself, sorry Kuro-sensei." he apologizes only for Kuroishi to give him a much harder glare.
Midori was given the green waterguns, Kana was given the yellow one, and Akihiko held the red one. Their target: their sensei.
Hours began to pass as they continue trying to land an ounce of water on their sensei, sadly there has been no luck for the trio. Everytime they tried a jutsu he would block with a jutsu, Everytime they would shoot him with water he would dodge, Everytime they went into taijutsu they've lost.
Midori became frustrated. She wants to do wushu she only wanted to work on what she lacked. Shes good in speed but not in physical sttength, she would make it in time but no matter how fast they were, not even she could get him.
Suddenly, a plan pops up like a light bulb over Midori's head.

"I have an idea." the two blondes turn to her with a smile, knowing their smartest teammate always has something up her sleeve.
Kuroishi stands as if he's a bouncer for a club. His body ready to move in an instant, but once he didn't hear anything he started to get a bit nervous. "Where the hell are those three? I swear if Akihiko and those two ran off to leave me here" soon smoke appeared, alot of it too. It was black, Kuroishi gets into his fighting stance as he tries to see through the dark smoke.
Midori and the others acted quickly, using string to attach themselves to each other and block off their sensei. Kana getting in position, ready to perform a water jutsu, Akihiko on the opposite side, ready to use the gun (turns out if you put chakra in it, it becomes a machine gun). Midori was behind her sensei, with her gun in hand.
Without warning they blasted him with water, he couldn't avoid it, the smoke was still think even after a couple minutes thanks to there being no wind. After Kana did a wind jutsu to make the smoke disperse it revealed a soaking man. "What happened sensei? I thought you were suppose to be a challenge?" Akihiko mocks.
"Says the ones who took hours just to finally catch me." Kuroishi replies, upset that they went a little overboard with having Kana create a water jutsu. Even though he was upset he still smiled, glad that his students actually has the abilities to defeat someone on a higher level than themselves.
"You guys seem ready, the Mizukage wants us in her office later on today." Kuroishi tells them. They all look at Kuroishi confused on why she would want them when nothing is happening, probably a mission.
They walk through the Mizukage's door into her office. She looks up with a smile, which seems to make Akihiko a bit nervous. "She only smiles when shes gonna give us something scary. I hope its not another mission involving us to fight." he sighs but throws his arms around Midori, looking at the book shes writing again. But of course he was still fanboying about her in a bikini.
"So let me get to the point, I want you three to attend the chunin exams, judging by how you all preformed during the genin exams and the report I got from your little sushi mission I can say you three have improved from how you all were in the academy, also the training I saw today. But its all up to you three, I wish you luck." she hands them the forms and smile at all of them "If you fail the exam not only will you remain a genin but I will not allow you three to go back to becoming a ninja, so just keep that in mind." they all screamed (except Kuroishi and Midori).
"B-But auntie you don't really expect us to pass on our first try!" Akihiko freaks out, squeezing Midori close to him as if shes his teddybear. Midori doesn't even bat an eye as she continues reading over her work, Kana frozen in shock.
"I believe you three can do it, you're all dismissed, but Midori and Kuroishi stay." Akihiko then looks at Midori and then the Mizukage, worried on why he can't stay in.
"Alright, wait outside you two." Kuroishi tells them. They nod and walk out the door. It soon was silent, Midori still reading her book and Kuroishi looking at the Mizukage, wondering why she told them to stay and the others to walk out.
"Midori, the chunin exams are in Konohagakure, are you sure you want to go back? I understand you were banished, but I also understand you had a sad childhood there and there is also the small feud with you and your clan. If you don't wish to participate I'll send in someone to replace you." Midori looks up, putting her book away in the process.
"That won't be necessary, my personal life should not be connected to my shinobi life." she states. "I rather not go, but I can't leave my team to a stranger, even if I do run into my siblings or a clan member I can easily ignore them." she thinks.
The Mizukage nods her head, then turns to Kuroishi "What do you think of this? You are her sensei now." she asks. Kuroishi looks at Midori then to the Mizukage.
"It shouldn't matter if I'm okay with her decision. Shes a responsible girl that has never made a wrong turn while on my team, I trust her decision." Kuroishi says. Midori looks at him and gives him a thankful smile, he gives her one of those 'No problem' smiles. The Mizukage nods her head, understanding the faith he has in Midori.
"You're dismissed." The Mizukage says. They leave and Midori stays silent as usual, only not having her focus in a book. Akihiko holds her hand, occasionally squeezing it. He could tell something was wrong, but he didn't want to talk about it, unsure if it'll hit a nerve or if she would only give him the silent treatment. But he also planted kisses on her face still avoiding her lips, hoping it'll make her feel a little better about whatever is going on.
They all returned to the training grounds to decide whether they were going or not. Of course they all signed without hesitation. Which didn't shock Kuroishi in the least, he wanted them to go and move up from being genins.
Once they turned in their forms they all went home to pack their things. They chose to leave tomorrow morning so they can have a home cooked breakfast one last time, also pack sushi from the sushi bar, and have a chance to say 'goodbye' to their loved ones.
