Dimonds and emeralds

Hey guys! Today I will be covering the two hardest to find objects in minecraft,diamonds and emeralds.

First,let's go over emeralds. You can find emeralds at levels 4-32, they will not spawn anywhere else! Also,they only spawn in extreme hills biomes,so make sure your in one of those when mining for them.

Unlike most ores,which spawn in pockets,emeralds spawn in pockets of one. When you have found none,do not dig around it,there won't be anymore (which sucks because their the rarest ore in the game!). So yea,you will need to do a lot of digging to find these.

Now,what are they used for? Well for starters,just like any ore,they can be made into blocks. If you are on survival, DONT do that. You won't find enough to make nearly the amount you need to make a good house or whatever out of them. Their main use is villager trading (yes those stupid grunting npc's actually have some use). Anyway,I will go over villager trading in a different chapter. Now let's move on to the by far more useful,diamonds!

Yes,the elusive diamond! These guys are best found at layers 12-16, but can be found on other layers. Unlike emeralds,they are easier to find,simply because they spawn in pockets. In my experience,if you find a pocket with over 4 diamonds,your lucky! Also,unlike emeralds,they spawn in any biome,so that's a plus.

Before I go over uses,I have a certain way of mining that can maximize the number of diamonds you find.

The way to do this is simple. Go down to layers 12 to 16 and dig a 2 block wide 2 block high tunnel in any direction. Keep going and you should find some. That's only if your not in a cave. If your in a cave it gets even better.

Caves have a few advantages when it comes to mining. First,their just fun to explore. Second,they have lots of lava pools. It just so happens that diamonds spawn near lava. So if you find a lava pool,just mine around it. This will not always give diamonds,but that's where diamonds spawn frequently.

Lastly, I'll cover the uses of diamonds. Like emeralds,they can be crafted into blocks. Again I don't recommend it,because their hard to find,but if you want to then whatever. They have a better use though,amour and tools. If you craft armor or tools they are the strongest in the game,so I recommend using them for that!
