Minecraft: How to not be a noob!

Hey everyone! Awesomesauce here,and today I will be talking about mob spawners!

Me and bluewhisker have covered a few of the mobs in minecraft. Have you ever wondered where they come from? Mobs like zombies and skeletons,and a few other hostile mobs come from two places. Either they spawn in naturally,or they come from mob spawners.

Mob spawners usually generate in caves,or underground. They are a little room made of mossy cobblestone. They usually have some chests in them,and one other thing. They have a cage looking thing in the middle. Inside will be a small model of a mob. Let's say that its a zombie. Then that mob spawner is a zombie mob spawner.

The way you find them is simple. Let's again say its a zombie mob spawner. You are mining away,and you hear the zombies grunting. You may think that this would mean that you should run! Don't do that though! Instead,dig in that direction. Usually,you will find a mob spawner.

Now,when you get there,you can do a few things. First,light up the place,so the mobs stop spawning. You could also break the cage in the middle, and that will also stop the mobs from spawning. Now kill all the remaining mobs.

Next,you want to get all the mossy cobblestone,because it's hard to get that. Now all that's left is the chests. Inside will be a few useful items. There can be cocoa beans and iron(that's not very useful). But there can also be one of the hardest to get things in minecraft,a cd.

With a cd,you can put it in a jukebox,and it will play music. The only way to get it in survival is in a mob spawner,or one other thing. If a skeleton kills a creeper,it has a chance of dropping a cd,but that really unlikely,so just search for mob spawners.
