Hey guys, Bluewisker here for Part three of the Nether dimension information segment. I this chapter I'll be covering Nether Fortresses. I'll tell you everything about it. Mobs that spawn there, blocks, and other valuable information on them. Enjoy.
Nether brick is the main Nether Fortress material. Nether brick can also be made into slabs, stairs, the original Nether Brick block, and don't forget fences. It is one of the only blocks that are in the Fortresses, and it is the most common.
Next is nether wart. It isn't a block, but is a plant. It is only used for brewing, but is very rare. You can't bonemeal them, but they grow awfully fast. They only grow on soulsand, so soulsand does have a few uses. It grows in several rooms. The lava room, the rare looting room ( Only four looting rooms spawn in all of the nether, so that room is very rare ) And last of all, the second floor. Those only spawn once in every fortress.
Soulsand is the next one. I'm not going to right it down because I already did in te blocks chapter of the Nether segment. Read Part one and two.
Several mobs spawn in Nether Fortresses. Blazes, sometimes ZombiePigMen, and the occasional Wither Skeleton. Blazes are always found near or with Wither Skeletons. ZombiePigMen spawn in groups of three or more in Nether Fortresses, or right outside of it.
