Hey guys, awesomesauce here! Today I will be covering brewing! I will be doing this in 2 parts. Today I will cover the process of brewing. Also, sorry that I haven't been updating this much, I've been busy. But I'm back now so,whatever.
Anyways, onto brewing....! In the first part I will be covering the basics of brewing, then in the second part I will cover the different potion types! Anyways let's start!
To start off,you will need a few thing. A brewing stand, some bottles, and some water. To make the brewing stand, you need 3 cobblestone and a blaze rod. Put the cobblestone in the bottom row and the blaze rod in the second row in the middle, and that should give you a brewing stand.
After you have all that, place the brewing stand Down and right click on it. This should bring you to the UI. Now in the bottom, you will see 3 slots with bottle symbols on them. Place your 3 bottles of water in those.
The last slot you will see is for your ingredient. First slap a netherwart in there! (For more info on netherwarts, read bluewhiskers chapters on the nether). Anyways you will then see the arrow light up. Wait for it to fill up all white. That should turn one potion into an awkward potion. Do that process again to get the other two made into awkward potions.
Now what you have is 3 awkward potions(don't drink those!) keep them in their slots. Next you will need to get another ingredient to make them into a potion that has an effect!
Now this is where it gets complicated. Say you want an invisibility potion. First get a golden carrot, and shove that in there. Then put in a fermented spider eye,and you have it. The only reason this is complicated is because of all the different combos.
Here's another few off the top of my head. For swiftness potion you add a piece of sugar into it. Or a fire resistance one,you need a magma cream. Also each ingredient will only make one potion. If you want all 3 to be made into that potion, you will need 3 of the same ingredient.
Lastly,if you add gunpowder,it will turn a potion into a splash potion. Basically makes the potion throwable. Whatever it hits will be affected.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok guys, once again,I will be going over each potion in depth in the next parts of brewing. It may take 3 parts to get them all in there so yea...
