The Baby Shower

Kylie loved the Sapirian-inspired baby shower that Sanya had planned out for her.

From the decors to the giveaways, Kylie was amused at how the theme accurately captured what the kingdom of Sapiro was; a perfect balance of being rustic and regal.

"San, thank you talaga ha." Kylie said. "You just don't know how much this means to me."

"Ano ba," Sanya responded. "Siyempre isa ka sa mga closest friends ko kaya hindi ako mag-aatubili na gawin ko ang lahat ng 'to para sa'yo." She added. "Basta kung ako naman ang mabubuntis mag-eeffort ka din ha!"

"Hoy, wag kang magsalita ng ganyan. Wag mo 'kong tularan!" Kylie laughed. "Magpakasal ka muna, tapos yun... pwede ka ng magpabuntis."

While the two friends were sharing a light moment, and the rest of the Encantadia cast and crew were in their respective tables, either eating or chatting with one another, Gabbi was subtly sending messages to Aljur from underneath the table she was in. 

The baby shower had already began, yet he was nowhere in sight. 

[3:30 pm]

Kuya Aljur, asan ka na? Kanina pa nagsimula yung baby shower ni Ky. What happened to our plan?

[3:40 pm]
Kuya, ano ba. Hindi mo ba talagang sasagutin yung mga tawag ko o mag-rereply man lang sa mga text ko?

[4:05 pm]
Hello? Nasaan ka na? Reply pls.

"Gab, okay ka lang ba?" Ruru asked, as soon as he noticed the frustration that was evidently seen on Gabbi's face.

They were in the same table right now, because he and Kylie had an agreement that they were going to put up a facade that they were "just friends" for today's baby shower. 

"Um... yeah. Okay lang ako." Gabbi answered, looking up from her phone. "Nag-tetext lang si Ate Alex." 

"Talaga? Parang kanina pa nag-tetext si Ate Alex ah." Ruru answered, somehow feeling that something was off with the way Gabbi was acting right now. 

For a baby shower attendee, she looked so stressed. 

"Uh... wala lang 'to. May pinapahanap kasi siya sa 'kin, eh hindi ko naman pwedeng hanapin kasi nandito ako ngayon sa baby shower." Gabbi reasoned out.

Ruru looked at her a little more, then nodded in reply. He still wasn't convinced, though. Something fishy was clearly going on. 

"O, sige." He said, letting the suspicion slide away for the mean time. 

As if on cue, everyone was startled when they heard a man shout from the entrance of the studio where Kylie's baby shower was being held. 

Aljur.

"Nasaan na si Kylie, ha? Nasaan na si Kylie!" He asked everyone, as he walked groggily inside the venue. It was so obvious that he spent the day drinking. He looked and smelled like it. 

"Bakit ayaw niyo kong sagutin, ha?! Sabi ko, nasaan si Kylie!!!" Aljur shouted even more.

"Can somebody please call security?" Direk Mark said, his voice dead serious.

"Security, security! Manahimik ka nga! Hindi naman ikaw ang hinahanap ko eh!" Aljur told Direk Mark, as he continued to walk groggily towards Kylie. 

As soon as he had caught sight of her from afar, Aljur smiled drunkenly.

 "O, ayan pala ang maganda kong fiancee! Hoy Kylie Padilla, umuwi ka nga sa bahay! Miss na miss na kita eh." He added.

"Aj, ano ba. Wag kang magsimula ng gulo dito." Kylie answered, trying to keep her calm, despite the fact that she was starting to feel scared and nervous. 

"Ako pa talaga ang nagsimula ng gulo ha. Ikaw ang nagsimula ng lahat ng 'to magmula nung umalis ka ng bahay at sumama kay Ruru!"

Everyone gasped at the revelation. They clearly weren't ready for this much drama today. 

"Oo, narinig niyo ko. May namamagitan kina Kylie at Ruru. At alam niyo ba kung ano ang masaklap? Nangyari ang lahat ng 'yun habang ipinagbubuntis niya ang anak ko! MALANDI KANG BABAE KA!" Aljur said, as he pointed at Kylie.

"Sumusobra ka na ha!" Ruru shouted, as he stood up from his table. "Bawiin mo ang sinabi mo! Hindi malandi si Kylie!"

"O, bakit? Nasasaktan ka?" Aljur laughed. "Nasasaktan ka, dahil pinagsabay niya tayong dalawa?"

"Walang hiya kang gago ka!"

In that moment, Ruru thought of nothing else but to attack Aljur. He was throwing all these punches at him, and if only the Encantadia boys had not intervened, he swore he could've made the latter's jaw bleed. 

"Tama na, tama na!" Rocco said, as soon as the two boys were separated.

"Kahit anung mangyari, ako pa rin ang ama ng dinadala ni Kylie kaya wag ka ngang umasta na parang sinong epal sa buhay niya!" Aljur shouted. 

"Ako pa talaga ang epal ha? Ikaw na nga ang linayasan at inayawan, pero patuloy pa rin na pinagsisiksikan ang sarili niya dito! Kung may epal sa 'ting dalawa, ikaw 'yun!" Ruru shouted back. "At wag mo ngang ipagmalaki sa aming lahat na ama ka ng anak ni Kylie kung wala kang ibang ginawa kundi ang saktan siya!"

"Gago pala 'to eh!"

"TAMA NA!" Kylie shouted as tears ran down her face. "Please..." She added, her voice cracking. "Tama na."

Suddenly, something had caught Sanya's attention. There was blood running down her friend's legs. 

"Ky..." She said, feeling alarmed. "Ky... dinudugo ka."

Kylie looked at her legs in horror, and that was it.

It was only a matter of a few seconds until she had completely passed out in her friend's arms.
