The Aftermath

Kylie was rushed to the emergency room after bleeding that afternoon. 

Almost everyone who had attended the baby shower wanted to come to the hospital in order to check her condition, but Direk Mark had instructed everyone, especially the production crew, to remain calm and observe a total media black out.

Nobody was going to talk or post about what had happened that afternoon, in order to protect Kylie and the rest of the people involved. Their jobs were at stake here, so nobody took the risk to spill anything at all. 

While most of the production crew and a little of the cast headed by Glaiza, stayed in the venue to fix everything, Ruru, Sanya, Rocco, Carlo, Mikee and Gabbi were the ones who had accompanied Kylie to the hospital. 

The latter was checked in at 5:30 in the afternoon. It was 6:45 already, yet there was still no news about her condition. Ruru was beginning to panic inside already. 

"Bro, relax. Kaya 'to ni Ky. Magiging okay din siya." Carlo assured his friend who had been pacing back and forth outside of the emergency room. 

"Oo nga, bro. Kylie is a strong woman. I'm sure malalagpasan niya 'to." Rocco added.

Ruru stopped pacing and looked at them. Despite the fact that he appreciated their words of assurance, that wasn't what he needed right now. He needed to know how Kylie was doing and if the baby was safe. That was what he wanted to hear. 

"Hindi ko lang lubusang maisip kung paano nalaman ni Aljur ang tungkol sa baby shower." He said. "Hindi naman siya involved sa baby shower, hindi ba, San?" He added, turning to a Sanya that was still tearing up after having seen her friend bleed and faint in her arms. 

"Oo." She answered. "Alam na alam kong ayaw makita ni Kylie si Aljur kaya di na 'ko nagaksaya ng panahon para i-contact pa siya o kung ano."

"Well, isa lang talaga ang ibig sabihin nito." Mikee said, as she continued to comfort Sanya. "May nagsabi kay Aljur tungkol sa baby shower ni Ate Ky. Pero sino?"

Gabbi suddenly looked away. Admitting to that fault wasn't going to happen today, and she was going to do everything in her power to make it look like she was the most innocent. 

"Hindi ko nga din alam eh." She answered, suddenly having the courage to look at Ruru. "Pero kung sino man 'yun, I just hope that makonsensiya siya sa ginawa niya kay Ate Ky." 

The latter looked back at her and said, "Sana nga. Sana makonsensiya talaga siya, dahil walang kapatawaran ang ginawa niya kay Kylie ngayon." 

Sensing the fury in his eyes, Gabbi looked away. She had a feeling that Ruru was suspecting her of being the mastermind of this fiasco, because he could see right through her. 

After almost two years of being boyfriend and girlfriend, Gabbi was knowledgeable of the fact that Ruru knew her too well. 

"Andiyan na si doc." Carlo said, causing everyone's attention to be redirected to the man wearing a crisp, white lab coat. 

"Doc..." Ruru said. "Doc, kamusta na po si Kylie? At ang baby, okay lang po ba?" He added. 

"Well, Mr. Madrid, I'm going to be honest with you. As of the moment, Kylie isn't doing so well." The doctor answered. "Gising na siya, but she's still so weak. Her vital signs aren't so great, as well. I asked her about what happened, and I can conclude that the bleeding was caused because of high levels of stress. Now, delikado talaga 'to para sa kanya because this makes her at risk for high blood pressure and heart disease. At the same time, this is also dangerous for the baby dahil maaaring lumabas siya ng may mga birth defects. But of course, we're going to continue doing tests to see if okay yung baby. As of the moment, he seems fine, but we can never be so sure unless we conduct the tests."

"Pero magiging okay naman ang lahat di ba, doc?" Ruru asked, his eyes desperate for a positive response. 

"There's a good chance that Kylie can bounce back from this, Mr. Madrid, pero magdasal pa rin tayo that nothing goes wrong during the tests." The doctor said, as he patted Ruru's shoulder. "Anyway, she's going to be transferred to room 415 in about 10 minutes. You're all free to see her by then." He added, and then he walked back into the emergency room.

"Salamat naman sa Panginoon at nagising na si Ky." Sanya said. 

"Oo nga, gising na siya, pero di pa rin natin masasabi na okay na talaga siya." Ruru said, pessimistically. "Sana kasi, wala nalang baby shower na nangyari para hindi humantong ang lahat sa ganito."

"Bro, wala namang may gusto sa nangyari eh." Rocco answered. "We just have to look at the bright side of things. At least gising si Ky. Let's just focus on making her okay again. Yun naman ang gusto nating lahat, di ba?" 

Everyone except Ruru nodded in reply. 

"Ru, magiging okay din ang lahat. Wag ka ng masyadong ma-stress." Mikee said. "Mula ngayon, hindi na talaga makakalapit ang Aljur na 'yan kay Ate Ky. Mag-teteam up tayong lahat para di na mangyari ang nangyari kanina." She added. 

"Thank you, Mik, pero gusto ko pa ring malaman kung sino ang nagpasimuno ng lahat ng 'to dahil gusto kong makapag-usap kami ng masinsinan at matanong ko siya kung ano ba talaga ang problema niya sa aming dalawa ni Ky." Ruru said, glancing at Gabbi from time to time. 

"Kung sino man 'yun, sana talaga makonsensiya siya. Hindi lang kayo ni Kylie ang dinadamay niya dito, pati na rin ang baby ni Ky na walang kamalay-malay sa mga nangyayari." Sanya said, suddenly feeling the urge to go on Danaya mode because of the brewing anger that she felt. 

"Sana umamin at magpakita na ang walang hiyang taong yun." She added. 

"Sana nga, San. Sana nga." Ruru said, his eyes clearly fixated on Gabbi.
