The Confrontation

As soon as Kylie had been transferred to a private room, the rest of the Encantadia cast who had tagged along decided to give her and Ruru some time together.

Now that they knew what was going on between the both of them, they understood that "alone time" was what they needed right now.

"Salamat naman sa Diyos at nagising ka na." Ruru said, as he positioned himself by Kylie's bedside, holding her hand as if his whole life depended on it.

"I'm still a little weak, pero alam kong kaya ko 'to." Kylie uttered weakly. "Ru... I'm sorry about what happened earlier. Dapat na-anticipate ko na baka pumunta si Aj. The whole baby shower was a huge risk that we shouldn't have taken." She added.

"Ky, kung meron mang dapat mag-sorry dito, ako 'yun. Ako naman kasi ang nagpumilit kay Sanya na bigyan ka ng baby shower." Ruru admitted. "Naisip ko lang kasi na first baby mo 'to at gusto kong maging espesyal ang lahat di lang para sa kanya, pero para na rin sa'yo."

Despite feeling frail, Kylie caressed his face in reply. She wanted Ruru to know how much she appreciated all that he had done and will continue to do for her and the baby now that she has welcomed him into her life as someone she could consider as her "other half".

"Thank you... for everything. Talagang... ang laking blessing mo sa akin at sa baby." Kylie said. "If only I could turn back time, I would pick you to be the father of my little one. Not Aljur." She added.

"Wag kang mag-alala." Ruru said, as continued holding unto her hand. "Kapag maayos na ang lahat at kung magtutuloy-tuloy ang magandang relasyon natin, pakakasalan kita at gagawa din tayo ng sarili nating baby." He added.

Kylie let out a soft laugh in reply.

"As much as I'm looking forward to that, maawa ka naman sa katawan ko. One at a time please. Unless something weird happens na ikaw yung magdadala ng baby for nine months." She uttered.

"Nako, kung 'yan lang naman ang magpapagaanan ng buhay mo, why not, di ba?" Ruru joked.

"But seriously... thank you talaga." Kylie smiled. "How I wish everything fell into place a little earlier."

"Ako rin." Ruru sighed. "Pero alam kong may dahilan ang lahat. Siguro noon, hindi pa talaga tayo handa para sa isa't isa. Hinintay pa ni Lord na maging mature na tayo para mas makilala at maintindihan natin ng lubusan ang isa't isa."

Kylie nodded in agreement.

"Pero Ky, gusto ko pa ring malaman kung sino ang may pakana ng mga nangyari sa baby shower kanina." Ruru said. "Sigurado akong may nagsabi kay Aljur, kaya nakapunta siya at nakapagsimula ng gulo." He added.

"Ru... are you trying to say na isa sa mga kaibigan natin sa Enca ang trumaydor sa atin?" Kylie guessed, her heart aching a little at the mere thought of betrayal by a friend.

"Siguro. May pinagsusupetsahan na 'ko, pero kakausapin ko pa siya ng masinsinan dahil gusto kong lumabas mismo sa bibig niya na siya ang nagpasimuno ng lahat ng 'to." Ruru replied.

"Sino ba ang tinutukoy mo? Don't tell me..."

"Isa lang naman ang gustong sumira sa 'tin noon pa eh. At kilala mo siya. Kilalang kilala."

A tear fell from Kylie's eyes as she uttered the name that left her lips sourly.

"Gabbi."

While waiting for their turn to get inside Kylie's room, Rocco, Carlo, Sanya and Mikee decided to go for a quick, coffee run to the nearest Starbucks branch right across the hospital.
