I really suck at making up titles, so excuse the lame chapter names. As for the title of the book, its still tentative, but you'll see why I've chosen this one in a few chapters. Happy Reading :)
After what seems like hours, the divider finally goes up.
"Hey honey," says the man, grinning. "It's nice to finally meet you. I'm William Reed."
I snort. "So I've been kidnapped by someone named after a piece of wood that goes in instruments? I'm terrified"
He narrows his eyes. "Don't push me honey"
"Don't push me. If it's money you want, I'm loaded. Take as much as you want. My father is Henry freaking Williams," I reply.
"Your father was Henry Williams. It's not money I want, honey. I have plenty of that myself. No, what I want is you," he whispers.
He comes closer and puts his arm around me. He starts caressing my face and trailing kisses down my neck. It is then that I notice how hot he is. His gray T-shirt is tight in all the right places, showing off his abs. I look into his eyes, dear Lord, no one should be allowed to have eyes like those. Hazel with specks of gold around the irises. Dark, chocolate brown hair cut short, showcasing his elegant nose and full, enticing lips.
I suddenly realize what's happening. I push him off me and slide to the corner.
"Get the hell away from me," I hiss.
"You enjoyed it. I'm flattered that I can make you blush so quickly," he grins evilly. I'm about to punch him when he gets a call. "We're almost there and we've not been ambushed yet. Can you give it a rest? She's fine, I'm fine, not that you care, and I'm making progress. I believe she was about to hit on me before you called," He hangs up.
"Hit on you? In your dreams. But I was about to hit you," I reply, glaring at him.
"Oh please. Give it your best shot" He spreads his arms wide.
You asked for it buddy. I punch him where it counts and he doubles over in pain. I'm suddenly laughing my head off. "You asked for my best shot, I gave it to you"
The look he gives me stops my laughing immediately. He's more than annoyed, he's furious and has a dangerous glint in his eyes.
I squirm in my seat as he glares a hole through my head. If looks could kill, I'd be long gone. We sit like that for a few minutes until I can't take it anymore.
"Say something," I whisper.
"Say something? Okay," he says, leaning close, inches away from my face. "I don't appreciate being punched in the balls and if you do that again, to me or any of my men, you will regret it. Understood?" I nod. "Good."
We sit the rest of the trip in awkward silence. I'm too intimidated to say anything. Besides, nothing I say will make him let me go, and he doesn't exactly make for great conversation.
We finally get to where we're supposed to go. Its a mansion, about as big as mine, overlooking the sea. I look around, but there are tall trees surrounding the place. So I know screaming won't help.
William puts his arm around my waist and starts to lead me inside. I pull away and glare at him. "I'm not blind, thank you very much. I see where the entrance is and I can walk there without your assistance"
