William left out a yellow dress that came to my knee. The top is strapless and is cinches around my waist, flowing down the rest of my body. I find some eyeliner in the bathroom and put it on, and smacking my lips with red lipstick to pull off the look.

And the entire time wondering how it had become like this. Why in the seven circles of hell am I so affected by William? I've been around gorgeous guys before, but William has an intense, alluring nature to him. He's mysterious, and contrary to popular belief, humans have an attraction towards mystery.

Whatever it is, I need to get my act together. I refuse to be humiliated like that again, especially not in front of someone else. I take one final look in the mirror before slipping my heels on and heading out the door.

A man dressed in uniform escorts me to the balcony downstairs, where William is standing.

"You can leave now Jones, thanks," he says, glancing at me. The man walks away, leaving us alone.

I walk to the edge of the balcony and rest my elbows on the railing, taking in the beautiful view. I feel William behind me.

"Our guest will be arriving soon, and I want you on your best behavior, understood?" he whispers in my ear.

"I'm not a child, don't patronize me!" I snap, turning around.

"Really? You had me fooled. You never listen to anything I say, you always find a way to get me angry, just for the sake of it. Need I go on?" he growls, leaning close.

"You kidnapped me, twice now! I think I hold the right to try to escape!" I shout.

"You will not escape again. You know why? Because I'm not leaving your side again," he hisses, grabbing me by the waist.

The doorbell rings and he lets go of me. Ah, saved by the bell.

"Sit down and don't you dare try anything," he warns, going to get the door.

I sit on the four-seater table and wait for them. William walks in with a  bald, middle aged man and tells him to take a seat, which he does opposite me. William sits down next to me.

"Xavier, this is Lydia Williams. Lydia, Xavier," William introduces us.

"Are you aware that I was kidnapped by this man and am being held here against my will? I can give you all the money in the world, just get me-"

"I'm well aware of that, Ms. Williams. In fact, I'm one of the people who ordered him to take you. But don't worry, we don't hurt you unless you make us," Xavier said.

William puts his hand on my thigh, effectively cutting off my next thought. It's moving slowly higher as he says, "Just tell her what we need, so we can enjoy the rest of our dinner getting to know each other,"

"Never one to beat around the bush, huh Will?" he laughs. "Alright. Lydia, you're surely aware of your parent's work?"

"I know they're scientists, that's all. They never discussed their work around me," I lied.

"Somehow I doubt that. You know about the mind control serum, and you know where they kept extra copies of their research. So I'm going to ask you, where are they?" he says, anger creeping in his voice.

"I don't freaking know! I'm nineteen, do you think the country's top scientists would confide in me the whereabouts of their research?" I shot back.

"You're their daughter, and you're obviously smart. You're going to Princeton in the fall," he glares.

"I have money, goddammit! Sure, I'm intelligent, but the main reason I got in is because I can pay for it," I explain, getting irritated.

"Xavier, I'll just put her through a lie detector test. If she's telling the truth-" William interrupts.

"If she's telling the truth, we'll still need her and you know why. Put her through the test, Will. But she's your responsibility. If she's lying, force it out of her using any means necessary. Otherwise, it's your freaking job to keep her here and not let her escape," Xavier says sternly.

"Noted. I'll keep you updated on her," William replies.

"Good. I have other business to attend to, I'll see you around," Xavier says, getting up. William pulls me out of the chair. "Nice meeting you Lydia. For your sake, I hope you're not lying,"

His tone sends chills down my back. He leaves and I see his car in the distance some time later. Then, I realize William is staring at me.

"What do you want?" I snap.

"Are you done eating?" he asks.

"Yeah, whatever. I wasn't hungry in the first place," I say, rolling my eyes.

He grabs me by my waist and leads me to the office. He pulls out his phone and says, "Jones. Get a lie detector test in my office as soon as possible,"

"Never one to beat around the bush, huh Will?" I quote.

"Don't mock Xavier, Lydia. He's a dangerous man," he glares.

He pushes me against the wall and lets his hands roam my body. One hand wraps around my bottom while the other tilts my neck upwards. He starts kissing my neck, and my body is on fire. He stops to look into my eyes, and I grab his hair and slam my lips against his.
