"We're in Salem?!" I yell incredulously.

"Obviously," William says, bored.

We are sitting in a coffee shop, waiting for Seyta and Drew to come. I ordered a vanilla cappuccino while William got pure black coffee.

I wasn't paying attention to the road, so when we arrived at a shop that advertised Salem's Best Cup Of Coffee!... needless to say I was shocked.

Finally, I see Drew walk in, and I assume the platinum blonde next to him is Seyta. She's damn gorgeous. They sit across from us, and she smirks at me.

"Seyta," William chokes out.

"Willy," she imitates. "Let's get on with this, shall we? I'm not interested in catching up, dear brother. This is a business transaction,"

"Of course," he replies, his eyes hardening. "You said you've found the research?"

"Yeah," she smiles lopsidedly. "Just hand over the girl, and we'll be on our merry ways,"

"Not happening. If we do this, I want to know what's happening at all times. You're not having the girl without me, Seyta," William hisses.

"Don't talk about me like I'm not here!" I exclaim.

"Lydia, don't," Drew whispers.

"Don't what? Defend myself? I won't be reduced to an object or a plaything, in contrast to you," I say, my voice rising.

"What are you insinuating? I'm n-"

"Enough! You two, shut up," William glares, glancing at each of us.

"As I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted, I'm not working with you," Seyta says, twirling her straight blonde hair between her fingers.

"Then I walk, right now," he replies flatly.

She sighs, running a hand through her hair. She seems distressed, her elegant features scrunched up in concentration.

I take the opportunity to glance at Drew. His green-blue eyes are glaring into mine. I raise an eyebrow, gesturing to Seyta. He shrugs and mouths she's hot.

A wave of hurt courses through me. He gets mad at me for a kiss, but is content with sleeping with the blonde bimbo. I push it aside. He can sleep or kiss whoever he wants, it's of no concern to me.

"Fine. But we," she pauses, gesturing between herself and her brother. "Have minimal contact,"

"Fine by me,"

"Here's the address, be there at ten tomorrow," she says, sliding him a piece of paper.

He nods and drags me out of the shop. We sit in the back of a car in silence, while the driver takes us, presumably, to a hotel.

"Why the antagonism between you two?" I ask softly.

"Mind your own damn business, Lydia," he growls. I put my hands up in surrender.

"Suit yourself,"

We drive the rest of the way in silence. As we pull up to the posh hotel, I notice a car has been following us. Not wanting to annoy William more, I brush it off as coincidence.

Once we're in the elevator, William pulls me to his side by my waist.

"Oh, now you want to talk to me," I hiss.

"Hush, babe," he whispers, trailing his hand down my waist, to cup my upper thighs.

My breath hitches as he puts his other hand behind my neck and leans in. His gorgeous green eyes are full of mischief and lust.
