He didn't expect romance, nor a hug, he just wanted to greet him one last time. Sat in the back of the car, he started crying. Those moments, those smiles, would never come back.
Finn was overexcitedly talking about the trip and for the first time since he had known him, Kurt just wanted him to shut up.
The night didn't have stars and if it did, Kurt didn't notice. It didn't matter anymore. If there was something it was over.
Meanwhile Blaine was livid, his parents took him away in a rush, without letting him greet the others. And by others he meant Kurt.
He didn't care about anyone else right then, not his parents, not his friends, just him.
Because somewhere, deep inside, hidden by their insecurities, their fears, their melancholy, they knew. And it was that piece of hope that pushed them to go on and to wait for the next summer.
