"Hi there" Kurt said when Mercedes answered the phone.

She was his best friend, the bestest friend in the world. Even if she wasn't the funniest, she was always there every time he needed, everyday, and Kurt tried to do the same for her.

"Hey" said Mercedes.

She wasn't happy as usual in the last days, she was always thinking about a guy she met on holiday and that lived in another state. She was scared they wouldn't meet again and that he didn't feel the same way she did.

"You won't believe what happened this evening!" Said Kurt with a ringing voice, the whole situation of Tina and their mission was amusing him so much.

"What?" Asked Mercedes, curios "YOU GAVE YOUR FIRST KISS?!?" Kurt laughed, everytime the same story.

"No M, no" he said "I got involved in a spy mission"

"WHAT??" She shouted.

"Yes. Blaine got a text from a girl who wanted to meet him alone, so he asked for my help. We searched for her all around and we went running all over the place"

"You and Blaine, uh?" She asked.

Kurt's face became red, fortunately she couldn't see him.

"Uhm, no" he answered.

"Uh uh, cocky guys" Kurt could imagine her face right now.

"Nothing happened M" Kurt replied, he swore his friend got something, he couldn't hide anything to her "What about you?"

"We keep texting, I sent you the screens, but nothing else, he doesn't like me for sure" her ringing voice became teary.

"Hush, don't say that, I'm sure he likes you back. How is the weather there at home?"

The conversation lasted an hour and half, as usual, but Kurt didn't tell her anything about Blaine, yes, he realized to like him, but was he sure? He didn't tell Mercedes about his former crush, why would he tell her about it? It was nothing special.

As Mercedes hang up, Kurt found a text from Blaine:

OKAY, WE'LL FIND A WAY. DO YOU KNOW WHAT ACTOR?

We. Together. Kurt was so happy he started dancing in his room.

"He just considers you a friend, Kurt, calm down" a voice in his head said, "he will never like you."

Kurt sat on the bad, looking at the text, did it mean something? Of course not. What was happening to him? A straight guy, again. He promised himself to stop falling for impossible guys, and he thought when his crush for Finn passed away he would never do the same mistake anymore.

But it was happening, fortunately a crush could pass away in a couple of months. Yes, his crush for his stepbrother lasted two years, but it was nothing serious and he could forget him in a bat of an eyelash, especially when he wasn't seeing him. So, since he wouldn't see Blaine anymore, the pain would last just a few weeks.

And that eye-contacts in the museum and in the elevator, did they mean something or was it just his imagination?

He had thousands of different feelings in his head at the same time, but even with all that mess in his mind, he could sleep quite well that night. He had insomnia, three nights before he didn't sleep at all, spending all night texting with Mercedes. At least he saw the dawn for the first time.
