you woke up to the sound of your alarm ringing. "oh my god, shut up will you" you groaned and hit the stop button. you reached out to your phone and slide open only to receive texts from your bestfriend

you let out another loud groan. you sounded like a dying whale. you then walked your lifeless body towards the toilet. you took a quick shower and was done in a jiff. you stood infront of the dresser contemplating whether you wanted to wear makeup or not. joshua really despises you when you wear them. he thinks you are already "naturally beautiful" you gagged at that thought. not long after contemplating you just shrugged it off and applied only a thin layer of mascara so it hides the fact that youre actually sleep and you dont give 2 shits about moving to this new school. you later slid (a/n yes slid.) down the stairs and ate the breakfast your mom prepared for you before leaving. well, heres a brief introduction of yourself, you were rich, you were posh but you certainly hated when people knew who your parents really were. not long after that the doorbell rang and your maids wondered off opening the door and gate.
"well goodmorning to you." you heard joshua say through the hallways. "yea, yea whatever." you rolled your eyes at him keeping the stern look you always had. you had a thing for joshua, but obviously you wouldnt want to go around telling him you like him because-- wouldnt that be just as weird? anyway, both of you rolled of to school in your rolls royce and arrived in no time.

"what up with you today, sleepy head?" joshua slinging his around your neck like he usually would. "nothing, im just tired. i dont want to be here." you muttered. "well, youre going to like it here alright? im going to be with you along the way" he retorted. oh if i could just stop being so cold to him, he wouldve known how i actually felt for him ages ago, you thought to yourself. "yeah alright, ill go off to my class now. ill see you during break or something." you walked away leaving him, not even uttering a single goodbye.

timeskip

break time came by quickly and you saw joshua standing by the side of your class waiting for you, you felt as if fireworks erupted in your stomach. honestly, you were this one soft puppy when you were alone with joshua but you just didnt want to show it. "hello there beautiful, lets go have lunch now?" he pulled you towards the lunch hall. "ohhh, good food today" you smiled. "wow, that is the only time youre going to smile y/n? when you see food???" he pretends to be shocked and starts sulking. "yah! you know how i am. now stop being extra, we only have 20 minutes." you pinched his cheeks. you settled down on a table filled with joshuas friend and some of yours. "so y/n~" one of joshuas many friend and yours, seokmin asked. you looked up to him and gave him a questioning face. "do you like anyone~~" with failed attempted aegyo done by seokmin you choked on your food. coughing uncontrollably. "oh my god are you okay?" one of your friends haesu asked while hitting your back. "yeah, yeah. im okay- im just cringing at the fact that seokmin is trying to pull an aegyo on me and its- oh my god" you started laughing and coughing at the same time. "eat slowly y/n. you scared me" joshua uttered. you just gave him a thumbs up and kept laughing. "anyway, i havent been seeing anyone these days and i dont think i have interest in anyone. so does that answer your question seokminieee~~" you tried some aegyo on him. "ommo~ uri y/n is so cute~~" "so, since youre not seeing anyone, should i start dating you~~" seokmin trying to hit on you miserably with his cringy aegyo. you started to take notice, right after seokmin said that, joshua started glaring at him, sending him daggers. honestly, if looks could kill, seokmin woulnt even be here anymore. "does my seokminnie want to date me~~~~~" you said cringing at every word while pinching his cheeks. right after you said that joshua stood up. "i have to go to the restroom." he said. everyone looked at him and sent him a "oh okay", as he left the table.

joshuas pov

how could she tho? i started to wonder as the thoughts of her dating my bestfriend flood into my head. does she like seokmin? it cant be? she said she wasnt seeing anyone wasnt she? but right after seokmin asked her if he could date her, she acted all fine. all this weird thoughts really clouded my head until a voice called out to me and snapped me back to reality. "joshy~" i could hear y/n call after me but i couldnt move. "hey bro, breaks over, what took you so long to use the restroom?" y/n asks me but i couldnt keep my thoughts straight. "uhh okay then, ill see you after school." she just left me afterwards. ah shit, what am i supposed to do? she probably sees me as a bestfriend only. why am i trying so hard? i couldnt think straight so i left school and went home. i felt tired and drained suddenly.

y/ns pov & a timeskip

whats up w joshua today? does he really think im going to date my own cousin seokmin? oh my god. such an idiot you laughed at your thought and continued the day as usual. the day came by pretty quickly and the last bell already rang indicating its time to go home. you waited for joshua at the gate but he didnt come out, so you decided to call him

j; "oh.. i was feeling a little under the weather so i headed back."
y/n; "is everything okay? do you want me to come over?"
you asked concerned,
j; "instead, can we have a movie marathon at your place?"

okay that was weird for him to request such a thing but its okay. you thought to yourself. you headed home and got ready. you slipped into one of many joshuas t-shirts that you might or mightve not stolen it from him and some boxer shorts. you slid (a/n yes. again. slid) down the stairs and right after it struck 8; joshua was already ringing the doorbell. "im comingggg" you yelled from the kitchen but the maids had already allowed him to enter. "hey" joshua waved at you. "hello! lets go up, ive set up the place." you grabbed his wrist and pulled him up the flight of stairs.

another time skip, orz

two hours into the movie marathon you felt tired. "say, josh. would you just want to sleep over?" you asked him. he didnt hesitate to say yes so you cleaned up the mess and prepared yourselves. "y/n-ah. i have to ask you a question" "yeah, sure- whats up?" you replied. "um about the- dating thing- with you and seok-" before he could finish up his words you have already started laughing. "hey, i havent finished yet. whats so funny anyway?" he asked confused and mad. "nothing, keep going. im listening." "alright, y/n i just wanted to say this. ive actually like wait, no- loved you for a long time and you really mean alot to me. you light my world up and-" "josh-" "no stop, im not done. you make me so happy and when you i heard seokmin said he wanted to date y-" "josh, list-" "no y/n! im not done yet-" you had to do what you needed to do to let him shut up. you kissed him. "oomf- y/n-" "just shut up will you" you giggled. "listen here, prince charming. i love you too and thank you for the sweet confession. youre such a charming young man, but please know i wouldnt date my cousin. hes too- yuck-" you giggled. joshua was dumbfounded "your cOUSIN?!" he said shocked. "yes silly, my cousin." you pinched his nose. "now- listen. i love you very much and that confession was really sweet; bubblegum." he cupped his cheeks. "heh, i love you too." he said cutely while engulfing you into a big bear hug while the both of you drifted off to sleep.
