It nearly scares me how many times my door gets knocked on in a day.

In the middle of the night, a tap comes from the entrance. I pull myself out of my silky bedspread and walk into the den. When I pull the heavy wooden door open, I am surprised at my visitors.

"Gemma?" I question. Nico is standing beside her, and they both in their nightwear.

"We need to talk," She says, "I got Nico; It's about the Games,"

I gesture for them to come. We sit on the white suede couch, silence overtaking us until Gemma starts to talk.

"So, you know in the Hunger Games, it's hard to trust anything, right?" She tells me. I nod.

"Something seems really suspicious about the people who are helping you. Especially your stylist, that girl from 11," Nico said.

"You mean Mina?" I say surprised.

"Yes," Gemma says, "They way she looks at you, it's like a tiger ready to pounce on a deer. It's scarier than Mahogany."

I can't help but laugh at her comment.

"This is serious," Nico says firmly.

"So your saying that I can't trust anyone?" I ask, "Even Mina?"

"Exactly," says Gemma.

"Thanks for the warning," I thank.

Before leaving, Gemma gives me a warm hug and Nico pats me on the back.

"See you tomorrow," He says, and they disappear down the hall.

"Oh, Annabelle, you look gorgeous!"

Valentina continues to admire my dress. Mina smiles in praise. I can't say a thing, only smile.

The dress comes to my knees, and flows outward in pale green silk. One strap holds it up, and diamonds are decked in various sections. Leonardo reaches toward a table, grabbing a pair of white heels, and slips them on my feet, and Antonietta places a wreath of pine needles and pine cones covered in white dust. I smile in appreciation; I'm a tree in District 7 during the winter.

"You look beautiful!" Antonietta shrieks.

Mina gives me a hug. Her eyes sparkle when she smiles. I can't help but smile too.

"Remember at the interviews, you need to make the best first impression you can. Getting sponsors won't be easy when everyone knows you as the girl who ran away." Mina instructs me.

"Okay," I agree, as she gives me a peck on the cheek.

"Hurry!" Calypse rushes me. "the interviews are starting soon!"

When we get down there, the other tributes are waiting impatiently for us. Fable and I take out places. District 1 has started the interviews. On the TVs I see Caesar Flickerman, his hair dyed an outrageous shade of yellow, and his comedian sense of humor making everyone laugh in the audience.

Mahogany is first to approach; her dress is so elegant, I cannot describe it; the only word I can think of to compare to is a dew covered rose. The crowd must love her; a sexy girl from 1 who could get a luxurious life even in the arena.

"Mahogany, I think everyone of the tributes are impressed by your skills in the training center. Did you have any special training, or help from a fellow tribute?" Caesar asks.

Mahogany gives a hearty laugh, "That would be telling," She says.

The male tribute gets his interview done fast, and the tributes from District 2 step up.
