THIS WAS A PART I FORGOT THAT HAPPENED AT THE CAPITOL!!! It's the part where Annabelle has her private session with the Gamemakers. I did have the part where she got her training score, but I was stupid enough to not have the part where she shows the Gamemakers her skills.

Enjoy! ~Kaitlyn

Fable and I sat in silence on the stone benches. He didn't look at me or say anything. I was surprised he wasn't trying to lunge for my throat like he did in the dining room.

All of sudden, a woman's voice echoed "Annabelle Adler." I gave a last glance at Fable then stood up and walked to the metal gates. It lifted up and I walked through into the training room.

I could hear the Gamemakers laughing. They were high up on a podium and were surrounding a large feast. Around the training room, there was a large selection of knives and swords, clubs with deadly looking spikes, a silver bow and silver metal arrows. The Head Gamemaker, Cordo Redpath, glanced at me once and raised an eyebrow.

"Annabelle Adler." I said.

"Continue." He said blankly and sat down in a plush red chair. The other Gamemakers stopped talking, taking their food and sitting in the chairs.

Quietly, I faced my weapon options. I decide to use the knives first. As soon as I pick up a handful, a bunch of mannequins popped up, some still and others moving. How fun.

I aimed my knife at the first moving one and threw it. The knife lodged it's way into dummy's heart. As quickly as I had thrown the first knife, I swung around and threw the second one. I did this for nearly five minutes, each one targeting either the heart or the head. When I was finished, there were  only still mannequins left. I glanced over to the table. No more knives, I thought. Bow and arrow.

I lifted the silver bow and took a metal arrow from the rack. Cordo was still watching my every move. I focused on the heart of the dummy as I placed the arrow on the string. I pulled the cord and lifted the bow to my face.

Right in the heart, I thought. Right in the heart. . .

Then I released the cord and let the arrow fly through the air. It whizzed in a straight line and landed perfectly into the dummy's heart.

I continued shooting my arrows until finally I came up empty. I set the bow on the table and looked at Cordo. His grey eyes stared through me.

"Thank you, Miss Adler. You may be dismissed."

On the other side of the training room, another gate opened up to a room with a chrome elevator. I slowly walked over, pushed a button, and was whisked away from the room.

Later, we watch our training scores. Nico is lucky enough and scores a perfect 8. Mahogany has a 10, and her fellow Careers score 9's and 8's. When I see my name scroll across the screen, my breath quickens as I read on the number under my picture.

Annabelle Adler: 10

Adrian gives a sarcastic clap of joy, and Calypse and my prep team squeal. Fable's score appears, his number a 9. My mouth nearly drops. How could I get a better score than him? The boy with the reputation of strangling not only animals but people? Gemma scores a 7, which is pretty good for a girl like her.

They celebrate as I watch Fable storm off, but not before he gives me an evil glare.
