Hello! New chapter! Yah! I got to write this while visiting family in Oregon, so I get to see what District 7 would actually look like!

Now my little fans, you may read!

At camp, Summer is taking off Gemma's bandage and replacing it with a new one. Nico apparenly has heated up rocks to help cook the rabbit we caught last night.

"That arnica gel helped your bruises a little," Summer tells Gemma, "But you'll have a limp for a while. I'll rewrap your leg."

"Thanks," Gemma said, with sadness in her voice.

Nico takes the cooked rabbit, breaking off legs and handing a piece to everyone of us. We eat in silence, when we all jump from the boom of a cannon.

Summer looks at me, "Who do you think it was?"

I shrugged. I guess I was going to have to check at night. Shortly after, another cannon went off, after a terrified scream.

"Maybe there was a fight," I suggested.

Summer looked at me with an odd look.

"What's that on your neck?" She asks.

I looked down at my white throat where the emerald pendant hung on the silver chain.

"District token," I said, "My mentor sent it last night, along with some knives."

Knives. Realization hit me like a missile.

"Shoot!" I said, "My traps!"

I stood up, leaving the ruins and back into the forest. The sound of three pairs of feet came from behind. I looked to see Summer, Nico, and Gemma keeping up with me. When they glanced in front of me, they saw the horror of my trap.

I glanced to see my trap, which had worked, but not for the purpose I wanted my allies to see. Hanging up in the trees, the knives on the trap had closed around the girl's feet, blood dripping down the side of her leg. She stared forward with flat eyes that had turned grey. The only thing that was keeping her from falling off was the remains of her snapped ankle and shredded muscle.

"Oh my God," Gemma gasped quietly.

Nico looked at me.

"Did you do this?" He asked.

I sighed with a look of guilt, "Yes, but it was supposed to capture animals."

He observed the trap, and I hoped my explanation worked. It wasn't really a lie. Half of it was the truth.

"This girl was from my district," He finally said.

I looked up at the girl's curly blonde hair, and I can see her eyes were once a pretty clear blue. Her face is recognizable. She was one of the Careers.

"Starsha," Nico said.

"Was that her name?" I ask.

"Yes."

"I'm sorry."

"Well, it's not like I really knew her," He says.

I sigh, "We better get moving."

We travel farther into the woods, keeping an eye out for any tributes or Careers. I decide it's the ideal time to tell them about Fable and his alliance.

Summer looks stunned, "Wow. This year's a challenge. Almost everyone's in an alliance."

"Five Careers left, us four, Fable's alliance, and then one other tribute. Only thirteen of us." Gemma says.
