You stand there in the middle of the chaos
You look around and see nothing but havoc
Nothing looks the same anymore
That park that kept our littlest secrets
That little ice cream shop by the corner
That drive-in theater that held our precious moments
Everything is gone and torpedoed along with our memories.
These memories were the light to your darkest nights
They were just like a candle's flame; small yet able to light up a whole room
They were everything you ever wanted to experience
The park was our escape place from reality to what felt like wonderland; lost in our wanderlust.
The ice cream shop was our place, just the sound of our spoons against the cup and a look of ecstasy and admiration was enough.
The drive-in theater was that missing part of us, the place that felt like the only one for us.
As you stand there and wonder, I for sure know, one day it'll all come back to you and I'll be here patiently waiting for the day you remember our memories to come.
