"You dealt quite nicely with our hybrid of a tiger, bear, and lion."
I yawn, rubbing my eyes and looking at my wrist. The woman is speaking again. Soon I'm gonna wanna slap her. "We are glad to let you know that she was the second hybrid of that sort we made. The first was killed by a different Brunette. That was the only Brunette to ever pass that first stage. Now in comes the second stage. Walk through the gate in which you will be brought to quickly and you must solve all the puzzles to get out. If you don't solve them in time, you will die of starvation and dehydration. We are all hoping you suck and lose. Bye bye for now Acid."
It gives me so much hope to hear about all the people who want me to win. The lovely women do and everyone else does because everyone just absolutely is head over heels for Brunettes.
If you didn't catch the sarcasm, you must be a dumb idiotic person. I've been walking for three days since the bigion incident and have to say that I'm making some pretty good progress. The Bigion is long gone. I've found water here and there, picked different types of berries, and made makeshift spears to get meat.
I see what she is talking about now. A big metal wall that stretches as far as the eye can see on both sides of me is in front of me. A grey metal door is in front of me. A small glossy handle is meant for me to turn. But I don't trust it. It could harm me. This is most definitely a test.
I grab a nearby branch and hover it over the handle. Then I drop it as I let go of it. The branch makes a contact and becomes fried like an egg in an instant. But there has to be another way in. Over and under seem both quite impossible since it seems that this wall tall and most likely extends miles underground. The only way is through. "Pass the gate you may need to debate." A fairy-like princes voice says. "My name is Len, will we meet again?"
I turn around to see a quite fine looking man staring at me with a guilty smile. "I know the way through, do you?"
"Why do you speak in rhyme?"
"A curse until you immerse. Get through and my voice will come too." He laughs. "Strange girl with a whirl. I watch thy kill the Bigion so it die."
"Bigion was evil....you may be evil too....what's the key to passing?"
"Hidden amongst the trees lie another door like thee. A squirrel girl like you will easily pass through. A fat man like I will not easily get by." He chuckles, as if amused by the funny way he speaks. "Never a girl so small could fit through until it came to you. You are the smallest of them all but most are just mighty tall. You have the brown hair that marks those, tell me stranger, why is that the only that has rose?"
"They discriminate those with brown hair. We are called Brunettes."
"Brunettes I've heard but never discrimination of this word. This world is big and you are small, get through the wall. I need to speak normally or else I'll speak in rhymes formally."
"Fine, I'm going. Just don't kill me because I don't trust you."
"Trust in me would be hard to believe. After the beast why trust the third test of forest of green?"
He is a test! I knew it! It's a test of trust. Believe it or not, I do trust him already. From his twinkling blue eyes, to his merry smile and tinkling laugh, I trust him.
But I'm not sure if that's a good choice.
