I wanted to do what I always did, fight then freeze. Wait...no I didn't. I can't live without someone from my childhood in my life. I've been living like that for too long. "The objective is to get back Jake, your precious...I don't know what you are but you seem to be pretty attached. I hope you fail." I can hear the cheerfulness in her voice.

"SHUT UP AND GIVE ME BACK JAKE!" I scream.

The two Governments just look at me with a sickening smile on their faces. "Little lady, if you want him back, you need to get through us."

Jake looks up at me, "Run. Just run. I don't care what happens to me."

One of the Governments roll his eyes. "Shut up you idiotic purple haired freak."

He turns, lifting Jake by his collar, and punches him across his face. I'm frozen, I can't move. It's like I am in a bunch of sticky glue. I watch blood drip from Jake's nose and Jake shuts his eyes.

"NO!" I scream, picking up a large pointy stick off the ground.

I run forward towards them, jumping at them. They look more surprised than I can say. They almost seem to freeze.

I shove the stick through ones chest, my stomach churning. He falls back as I pull out. Then I look to the other one. He laughs, "Let us dance, pretty little girl."

"I don't dance. I kill." I hiss through my teeth.

"No, I kill. You go through tests. This test is the hardest. You didn't really think that it'd be this easy. Rocky over there is easy to beat. He dead. I, on the other hand, can kill this little twerp with a flick of my pinkie."

I point the now bloodied stick towards him, "Drop. Him. Now." I growl.

"No. I do not think you get it. I want to live. I die if I let him down or I let you through."

"It'd be a good deed. You let two lives live for one. You die for us. It's a good cause."

He almost seems to soften, "I-I-I have a family though. With a little girl about your age and I can't...I just cannot leave them alone. I miss them so much."

I could almost die. I didn't think Governments had feelings or even families. But I know one thing. "They won't let you back. Now you know too much and they can't risk it. You will die anyways."

"Fine, just give this note to my little girl. Her name is....well it says in the note. Just deliver to her when you get out of here. Please. And tell her daddy loves her." A tear slides down his cheek and he drops Jake.

Jake lays unconscious and I run over to him. The Government takes the stick I must've dropped and I hear his scream. There is a dull thunk as he goes down.

I brush Jake's hair out of his eyes. "Jake." I whisper.

There is a blinding light. "Nice job Acid. You are the second person to ever finish this course fully."

A feminine figure with golden hair stands in front of me, "I am Kat. You know me from your wrist. I guided you through this and watched everything you did. You, sadly, passed which saves Jake and you. I will be taking you back to Headquarters. Come with me."

She finally is out! But who is that man she killed...and what will happen next?
