Chapter 5: I Won't Say

River walked around the forest, she thought a nice walk instead of flying is better. And all she could think of was Branch. Somehow, regretting it. (A/N: don't worry you Broppy lovers, she's not a villain) She sighed as she leaned on a tree and heard her ladybug on her shoulder squeak. River rolled her eyes. "No, I am not thinking of him.".

She crossed her arms and pouted, trying to let the ladybug fall for it. But the ladybug squeaked again as music started to slowly play. River rolled her eyes and started to walk around the forest. "Nope. I won't say it, I am not gonna think about it-!".

Suddenly, she paused and sighed and started to sing along with the music. (A/N: the song is I Won't Say by Disney!)

"If there's a prize for rotten judgement,

I guess I've already won that,

No man is worth the aggravation,

That's ancient history,

Been there,

Done that"

She sang as the creatures started to sing along while she crossed her arms and scoffing.

"Who'd you think you're kidding?

He's the earth and heaven to you,

Try to keep it hidden,

Honey,

We can see right through you,

Girl, ya can't conceal it,

We know how ya feel and,

Who you're thinking of"

They sang as she rolled her eyes and held her temples on her forehead.

"No chance,

No way,

I won't say it,

No, no"

She sang as a beautiful bird flew over her and handed her a blue flower, River gave a disgusted look, reminding it of Branch. She rolled her eyes and threw it away, but the creatures grabbed it and continued singing.

"You swoon,

You sigh,

Why deny it,

Oh, oh"

They sang as she hugged herself and started to get annoyed and continued the song.

"It's too cliche,

I won't say I'm in love,

I thought my heart had learned it's lesson,

It feels so good when you start out,

My head is screaming get a grip, girl,

Unless you're dying to cry your heart out,

Oh"

She sang as the ladybug stood in front of the creatures and signaling its melody as they continued to sing.

"You keep on denying,

Who you are and how you're feeling,

Baby, we're not buying,

Hon, we saw you hit the ceiling,

Face it like a grown-up,

When ya gonna own up,

That ya got,

Got, got it bad"

They started singing as she started using her hand like its talking as she crossed her arms.

"Whoa, no chance,

No way,

I won't say it,

No, no"

She started to step in some rocks from the lake and hopping to one to another as the creatures follow after her and singing.

"Give up,

Give in,

Check the grin you're in love"

Lake was about to grin, but she shook her head and started singing louder.

"This scene won't play,

I won't say I'm in love"

She sang and looked up at the starry night sky. Then the creatures stood behind her and kept singing.

"You're doin' flips,

Read our lips,

You're in love"

Then River rolled her eyes and received the blue flower again, this time she smiled and smelled it, but she realized what she was doing and scoffed.

"You're way off base,

I won't say it"

She sang as the creatures looked at each other and shrugged.

"She won't say it, no!"

River sighed and took one more glance at the flower and held her forehead.

"Got off my case,

I won't say it!"

She sang as she sat on a mushroom and smiled as she looked at the flower, then the creatures slowly returned to their normal lives.

"Girl, don't be proud,

It's OK your in love"

Then River sighed dreamily and ended the song.

"Oh-ooh,

At least out loud,

I won't say I'm in love..."

She sighed and smiled. Then she flew up on the air and headed back.
