River sighed as she stood in front of Poppy's pod. River received an invitation somehow. She doesn't live in a pod but somehow for an invitation she left for her! Then she knocked on the door and heard whispers. Then the door opened as a pink hand grabbed her and pulled her in. The light seeds off as she squinted and looked around. "Anyone here?".
"Welcome Back!" The Snack Pack and Poppy said while showing a long piece of paper that said 'Welcome Back'. River blinked, then saw the decorations on the walls. She even saw a cake! River rubbed her nape and chuckled nervously. "Thanks... guys... if leaving the hospital is that great, then... thanks...".
"Poppy, I told you she wouldn't be happy about this!" A familiar voice said as they turned around saw Branch. River and Branch met eyes, but got completely embarrassed and faced away from each other from the awkwardness. Then River stood in front of Poppy. "This is amazing, Poppy, really. You probably spend a lot of time just to make this but...".
She then saw Poppy giving puppy dog eyes. Then River continued her sentence while swinging her fist. "-But we're gonna have so much fun!".
She said and laughed hysterically. Then Poppy clapped her hands and walked away. Then River cringed as she watched Poppy run to Branch. Then Poppy grabbed a spoon of cake and aimed to Branch's mouth. Branch glared at her, but then Poppy smashed the cake all over his face and started laughing. Branch growled as he grabbed more cake and smashed it at her face. River sighed as Guy Diamond stood beside her while eating cake. "Hey River, how's life?".
"Is that a rhetorical question?" River said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. Then Guy Diamond took another bite and chewed while talking. "Just look at them. That's my life, right now.".
"Very funny." River said and faked an obvious laugh. Then GD patted her back and whispered. "Don't worry. You'll always have next time.".
He said and walked away. River growled and her fists clenched. She turned around and accidentally bumped into Branch and got some cake on herself, too. "I am so so sorry, Branch...".
"It's alright. Guess we both need to wash our faces." Branch said and gave an odd chuckle. They both gave odd grins and laughed hysterically. Then they quickly said in unison. "Bye."
They walked across from each other, with their grins going upside down and feeling the total awkwardness. (A/N: if that was me and my crush, if I even have one, I would just knew we were meant for each other. Jk, jk, am I talking too much? If I am- *random commentor* "just let us see the Broppy!!!" Ok, ok, don't need to be so harsh, jeez) Then River washed her face with a clean towel. She sighed as she set the towel aside. Then she grabbed a welcome back cookie and sat on the couch as she leaned on her arm. She sighed and grabbed a plate of cake and grabbed a scoop of cake and dived it in her mouth as she turned to the corner of the room. "Maybe I'm overthinking this...".
Then she looked at the window as she saw the clear blue clay with clouds. Suddenly, one cloud showed Cloud Guy's face and motioned his fingers into a heart. River's eyes widened as she shook her head and saw nothing. She rubbed the temples of her forehead. "You're overthinking this... don't overthink this... just calm down, River... he's not worth your time...".

You can clearly see 'Branch has had a secret crush on Poppy for a LONG TIME!!! This is an article I just found! And Dreamworks say Branch and Poppy were only friends. Broppy is canon!!! Stay alive! And this article is actually written with Dreamworks, but I don't know. But all I know that it clearly is!
