Chapter 2
My heart fluttered like a thousand butterflies once I saw Henry. His handsome face made me blush madly.
His raven black hair had some midnight blue strands in it. The handsome facial features were to die for! His jaw was perfectly sculpted. Many kids would mistaken him as a year older.
I was lucky to get a date with him when I first met him. When he first asked me I wondered why he even asked me.
Henry wasn't looking my way at first. He was busy talking to his brother. A cool smile on his lips. It would make everyone melt.
"There's your boyfriend." I hear Danny whisper in my ear. Brushing her away from me. I look back at Danny. Seeing the smirk on her face. "So did you miss kissing him?"
I couldn't help but laugh. Sometimes she cracked me up. My laughter made Henry look my way. A much wider smile now on his lips. Exposing long, pearl white teeth.
He said goodbye to his brother and walked to me and my friends. I touched the ring on my left hand. My heart felt like it was racing like twelve horses' hooves. A scar was able to be seen on his neck. It was about three inches long. It ran up to his left cheek. Another scar was exposed on his left ear.
I heard my friends squeal in excitement. They were the most happy when they found out I was dating Henry. (Also very annoying! I had to tune them out for a very long time.)
"Morning love." Henry whispered in my ear once he got next to me. The chilling feeling of his lips tickled my ear. "Morning." I said with a kind smile. Looking back at my friends, seeing how excited they looked. Danny was the only one who seemed chill.
It was a kinda amusing. And it was amusing to Henry as well.
The warning bell then rung. Kids quickly hurried into the school. Including my friends. (They would always be tardy) It made me chuckle. I grabbed Henry's hand and we both walked into school together. Some kids were looking at us.
Henry squeezed my hand lovingly. The same way when he held me close. "So how was my lovely wife while I was gone?" Henry asked in a hushed voice. Not wanting anyone to hear his words. "I've been fine. But worried about you." I said as I got to my locker.
I unlocked my locker and threw my backpack into my locker. Grabbing two of my textbooks and then a notebook. "I was just fine. I got this for you." Turning around to see what he had.
Before I could turn around to look. Henry put something around my neck. I looked down and saw the necklace. A beautiful necklace with a real animal tooth. It looked like a mountain lion's tooth. I was really amazed.
"Where did you get this?" I asked in wonder. Looking at my husband. Henry had a smile on his face. "Me and my brother went hunting while my family and I camped. I faced a mountain lion and decided I should get you a present." Henry said. Making me blush. Shutting my locker, hoping my blush would die down.
"I should've-@
My words were cut off with a gasp escaped my lips when Henry's lips touched my neck. Quickly, I spun around to look at him. "No public affection!" I said waving my arms. Henry just bursted out laughing. Obviously thinking it was funny at my reaction. And I just frowned.
"I'm heading to class now." I said plainly before leaving. The necklace Henry gave me bounced up and down. It felt kinda nice around my neck.
Now entering my first period class. Some kids were already sitting down. Others were socializing with their friends. I walked over to my desk and sat down. Already bored.
"Hey Johnson." I hear a familiar voice. One that I didn't love.
Looking up from my notebook. Seeing one of the heart throbs of the school, James Dice. A star basketball player. He may have shiny blond hair. And charming green eyes. But he didn't have my attention.
"Morning Dice." I said with a smirk. Knowing he would always use peoples' last names. Dice made a smirk toward me. We used to be friends when we were younger. Till he became part of the popular crowd. But I was part of the tennis team. And I got us to the Nationals last year!
Dice sat down on the desk next to me. "So how are you and Sanderson doing?" His voice sounded a little jealous. I forgot to mention he had a little crush on me in elementary, and through middle school. "We are doing just fine. Thanks for asking." Running my fingers through my tangled up hair. "There's something ain't right about that boy." Dice said in a good southern accent.
Not again. Dice always says that when he has the chance. "Henry is a great guy. He ain't-"
Before I could finish my small rant. The bell rung. And Mr. Brody came in. He had a calm look on his face. He was the most coolest teacher in this school. Everyone agreed he was awesome.
"Morning class, now last Thursday we were talking about how Hitler-"
I immediately tuned out. Knowing how this was going. When I had nothing to read or there isn't anything to watch on tv. I was bored enough to read through the textbook. And read everything. Memorizing everything.
Dice looked like he tuned out as well. "Damn this." he mumbled to me. It made me giggle. Not loud enough for anyone but us to hear.
"So when's the next game?" I whispered when Mr. Brody turned to write on the white board. "Next week. If we win, we go to the state championships!" Dice said with a excitement in his voice.
