Chapter 1

My annoying alarm blasted in my ears. But it soon died by my soothing music. I always had it set when the alarm went. So I would be a little calmer in the mornings.

Getting up from my bed. I rubbed my eyes and looked up. Seeing a beautiful sunrise ahead of me. (The wall in front of me is an entire window.) A smile came to my lips once I saw the sun on the horizon. It was truly magnificent.

I walked over to my bedside table and grabbed a ring. The ring my lover gave me. A smile came to my lips once I put it on. It fit perfectly on my index finger. I wiggled my fingers to make it shine in the morning light. It made me giggle.

The image of Henry came across my vision. We couldn't see each other for a week. But now we get to see each other today at school. I was very worried. Sense he was my husband. Also he was an immortal.

I walked to my dresser and opened it.

Snatching a sky blue shirt and my favorite white skirt. Changing in about a minute.

Once I finished changing I hurried downstairs. My short bangs tickling my face when I ran down. The smell of food reached my nose. Drool immediately formed in my mouth. Man I was hungry!

I came into the kitchen with a happy smile. Seeing my family in the room. "Morning everyone." I said a little too cheerfully. My mother and father looked up from what they were doing. A look of startle on their faces. "Clarissa, you seem happy today." said my mother, Isabelle. She was startled because I wasn't a morning person. But today in happy!

"Because I get to see Henry today! He's been busy camping for so long. I was so worried."

Isabelle gave me a smile. To my family Henry and I are boyfriend and girlfriend. While in secret, we are married. You want to know the reason. . .its because he's not what he seems.

"Well I'm sure he's fine." said my dad, Jonathan. He was always like that. Always grumpy and strict. He wasn't too happy when he found out I had a boyfriend. Especially at age fourteen. Afraid I'll get my heart broken. But I wasn't going too.

I walked up to the kitchen counter. Grabbing a yellow apple and kissing my mother's cheek. "I finished my history report." I said a little proudly. I'm a straight A student. My parents want me to get in a good college. Want me to have a happy life. Which I know I will.

Jonathan looked up from the newspaper to look at me. A smile on his face. "That's good. I'm sure you'll get an A on it." Rolling my eyes at him. I took a bite of the apple. Loving the hard texture in the apple. The taste was sweet. Like Henry's lips. The thought of Henry made me smile.

I looked at the time and saw I only had ten minutes to get to school. And it's three miles away if I walk!

"Oh mom, I need to go to school now!" I said as I snatched my backpack.

"I'll meet you outside. Let me just grab my purse." Isabelle said.

I nodded and hurried outside. The sound of nature came to my ears. I looked up to the sky. Seeing the bright blue blanket. Cottony clouds filled the sky. The wind blew by and presses against my skin. It felt like being kissed by air. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment.

Turning around when I hear the door close. I see my mom walking down the steps. Quickly, I speed walked to the car. I never felt this urgent to see Henry. Sure I was worried. He's never been gone for a week before. Only for a few days. But a week. It's making me worried.

As Isabelle and I entered the car. It felt a little warm inside the car from the sun. But it didn't bother either of us. Isabelle started up the car and backed out of the driver. And then rode off.

I rolled down the window the feel the wind. I just loved the feeling of wind against my skin.

"So how are you and Henry doing?" Isabelle suddenly asked. I froze on the spot. Looking to my mom. She was busy looking at the road. But took quick glances toward me. "We are really good. I just hope he's alright coming back from camping." I said.

Isabelle gave me a playful smile. "Didn't you tell me he's intelligent in the wilderness?" I nodded quickly. "Yes, he is." Isabella then gave me the see-he's-fine look. Grunting, I looked back out the window. A recognizable flash ran passed my vision. Blinking a few times, I sank into my seat. "Is something wrong?" I hear my mother ask. "Nothin." I lied.

The truth was the flash was probably Henry. He could run at the speed of light. But it could also be one of his family members. Which was only four members. Henry, his mother and father, and his older brother, Michael.

Isabelle drove up to the school parking lot. I saw everyone was already coming to school. And we had four minutes to spare. Everyone was smiling she they saw their friends. I could see some of my friends as well. But I didn't see my beau.

I got out of the car and shut the door behind me. Waving without looking at Isabelle. I quickly walked to the steps. Spotting my friends already hurrying toward me.

"Clarissa!"

Smiling at my three best friends. Danny Gomez,-short for Daniella- Meggann Garcia, and Bryn Tanner. They all looked happy to see me. Those three always staid by my side during school hours. Or when we hung out. It's like they were my posse.

"Morning guys!" I said happily. A bright smile now on my lips. Bryn gave me a short hug. She was the most sweetest girl in the world. Would always have see the bright side to everything. And that's why I love her!

My second friend Danny had a smirk on her face as she watched Bryn. Bryn and Danny were actually both half sisters. But they didn't seem like it. Or even acted like it. Instead they acted like close friends.

Meggann gave me a short hug as well. Her bright dress flying in the breeze. She was a fashionista. Her designs are to die for! She even made her own clothes!

"So how were y'all's weekends?" I asked happily.

Danny, Meggann, and Bryn were looking behind me. I turned around to see what they were looking at. A gasp escaped my lips. Happiness filled my eyes once I recognized who it was. Finding my dear husband, Henry Sanderson.
