Fearless

Chapter Twenty Four

"Kitten come here," Viktor ordered. I waltzed over happily and sat on his desk. He wasn't quite happy that I chose to sat on the desk rather than his lap. He can't expect me to sit with him all the time. "Playing nice girl worked see," I laughed. The men were quite pleased that I managed to get the information they wanted.

"You did all that without threatening or seducing him..." Markov scoffed. Great, will this guy just give up already. "I'll happily accept you as our boss's woman," he continued shocking me completely. All the men sat on the table agreed. Well well well. "But with him believing you want to escape we can use that to our advantage!" One of the men cheered. "I've already thought of that," I replied, "I'm gonna write a letter."

They whispered for a moment before Viktor explained that I'm gonna send letters with breadcrumbs and little snippets of False information. Thanks to the man believing I'm being hurt and would do anything to escape my current fate. "I hid a letter in his jacket pleading for help and giving him one real piece of information, the only real piece of information he'll get causing him to believe everything I write to him," I explained.

They laughed. "And that is?" A different man asked. "My story, who I am... all they have to do is turn on BBC news or google me and tadaaa.. there I am," I giggled, "what kind of idiot wouldn't believe a poor girl crying for help who's got proof that her sob story is real." They looked dumbfounded. Viktor got up from his chair and threw one of the men a note pad and pen. "I need you men to make up some false information that can make the Stepanov clan work to our advantage... no ridiculous things, little probable bits of information," Viktor explained.

With that the men went off to come up with some stuff leaving Viktor and I in our office. "Let me look at you, I want to make sure you're not bruising," he whispered as he began checking my neck and face for any marks. I could tell he was upset about it, he kept apologising and checking on me. "Viktor I'm perfectly fine so stop worrying!" I reassured him. He gave a half hearted smile. "I never want to hurt you again... I hate myself for hurting you.." he sighed placing his head on my shoulder, "I love you so much Annabelle and I'm worried about using you to get to them."

I kissed him gently. "Viktor be serious now, what's the worst that could happen?" I giggled. Something in the back of my mind said, 'stupid girl'... I have a bad feeling about this all of a sudden...

One month later

My breadcrumbs have been working. They have been playing the game a chess exactly how we'd planned it out for them. Every note was sent with a rose petal... no idea why, probably to make it feminine or make it something like my signature to them. Viktor had me learn hand to hand combat with Markov, he was staying here rather than in Paris where his work is since an attack was imminent. At first it was difficult but it wasn't long until I could kick his ass along with every single person I was put up against.

Viktor had been even more protective since the other Mafia began making their moves. Everyone is on high alert since I sent the last letter saying that because of the attacks the Stepanov clan were doing, were currently under guarded at the mansion. It's just a waiting game now... we're about ready for an easy check mate. "What are you thinking about kitten?" He cooed, kissing my neck. I bit my lip and turned to face him. "About how much I crave you..." I whispered seductively.

He hadn't had me in a week... we've been too busy waiting for them to make their next move. He gave a low chuckle... here we go. He claimed my lips and his hands began to venture through my dress. He was about to pull my panties down when Markov rushed in shouting, "WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!" Great... Viktor moaned and muttered to himself as he put my dress back where it should be.
