We walk in silence and the atmosphere becomes unbearably awkward. "Y/N?" I hear Killua say behind me. When I turn around, I see his Ocean blue eyes boring into mine, his mouth turned into a pout. Our faces are so close together that I can feel his warm breathing above my nose.

"Wh-what?" I ask, almost defensively. I am definitely not acting like myself. Gon doesn't seem to be paying much attention to our conversation as he looks all over his surroundings with a curious gaze.

"When was the last time I came here? Kurapika and Leario came here, too..." He mutters.

Killua gestures toward Gon, his hands on his hips like an angry soccer mom. "Did this moron do anything to you? You seem off." I restrain a smile. He noticed?

I bite my lip. I didn't want to lie to him, but it was too late as the words escaped my mouth. "Not really. Gon didn't do anything."

From the corner of my eye, I see a smug smile escape Gon's face in triumph. I glare at the floor and suddenly feel Killua flick my forehead, he's pouting. "You're lying."

"Am not." I narrow my eyes at him.

"It hurts me how little you trust me, but I'll find out eventually, Bitsy. If something or someone's bothering you, I'll kick their ass." He grins. I didn't deserve this, him. He was in front of me currently and I could see the nape of his neck, the muscles of his arms as the flexed everytime he moved. I gulped and shook my head viciously, this is wrong! But it feels so right..... Stop. It. Y/N.

Gon touched my shoulder and moved his lips to my ear, his breath making me shiver. "Did I tell you where we're heading?" I open my mouth to respond but then I hear a piercing scream that fills the air, sounding like a dying animal. Then I realize that I was the source of that shriek, my left arm falling to my side, soaking my hips in scarlet liquid. Blood.

My blood.

Gon covers my mouth, his eyes scanning the area cautiously. "Don't make another sound." He murmers. I realize Killua's gone missing, no where in eye shot. He must be checking the premises. Gon pulls my over his surdy arms and carries me brutal style.

I try my best to resist the pain but the thought of a bullet being inside the flesh of my arm right now makes me shutter. I see Killua run towards us with something in his hand, his expression is urgent, eyes wide. "What the hell are you doing, Gon? Get her out of here!" He barks. I had never seen him like this, like he was in panic. Was he afraid?

As Gon nods and begins sprinting away, I catch Killua's eyes and try not to cry, he looks like he's about to crack, too, breaking his gaze and turning his back to me as he crouches down, observing whatever it was he had in his hand. "Killua, " I call, he doesn't turn around but I know he's listening,  "don't you dare do anything stup-" I shouted, quivering,  the pain in my left arm causing my inablility to finish my sentence.

Before my vision goes blurry due to tears, I see a girl with pink, slanted eyes rushing toward Killua, a fan in one hand and a clentched fist in the other. I couldn't tell exactly, but there was something in the way she moved plus her facial expression that matched Killua's; their eyes were even slanted the same way. Then, I watch Killua cover himself in electricity, sprinting the opposite direction from us.

"He can't win." Is all Gon says after a few minutes, setting me down under a large oak tree. "The Phantom troupe found him."

I had never heard of this group of individuals but didn't have the courage to ask about them, seeing the state Gon was in right now. The explorer had heavy and controlled breaths, his eyes focused on the ground. They were darker than usual.
