The room turned into a rippling battlefield before my eyes, several guests turning for the doors while the higher families locked their eyes on me, their lips whitened and expressions hardened.
Killua, who had been behind me, appeared beside his sister, shielding her from any possible threat, calculating eyes scanning every angle, every face. The boy who had only been crying a few minute ago had morphed into a mask of hostility.
As far as he was concerned, everyone in this room was his enemy.
Feeling the grip of someone's hand on the awfully long strands of my hair too late, I was whipped back, then tossed high in the air, landing on the rows of seats with a loud crash.
I forced myself up with proven difficulty, seeing a familiar assassin from house Grien stalking towards me with cat-like grace, a wicked grin spreading over her face. Celicy went all out for this wedding, her makeup was practically flawless with thick silver eyeshadow to represent her iron heart.
Hands landing on my neck, pinning me down. "Didn't you hear what I told you?" She was crushing my windpipe.
Slowly I felt the air escape my lungs, punching her ribs in weak attempts to push her away. The tip of my knee cap pressed against her stomach, sending her aside enough time for me to be back on my feet.
From a corner of my vision, I could make out Peter, avoiding several attacks from his opponent, struggling to keep up. Emerald eyes a raging seethe of burning fire, wheels turning as he tackled Illumi with his head like a bull, causing the long haired Zoldyck to sidestep.
I recognized the man from the dartboard in the hidden burrow. "Illumi, my brother." Killua had explained. The ex-assassin was staring at his older brother with an icy glare that could freeze this building and everyone in it if that was even possible.
"You stupid girl," I heard Celicy screech, a burning sensation crawling up my arm. "You're fighting me!" She held a blade in her right hand, velvet blood dripping from the tip, a drop falling to the white tile floor. My blood.
I stared at her, my senses hightening, I suddenly became very still. Then I allowed my feet to reel me in the light blonde's direction, walking with a smile embedding my facial features. This seemed to surprise and confuse her at the same time, but she held her ground like the dangerous queen she was trained to be.
She might be an assassin, but an assassin was no match for a tornado of rebellion and wielding fury.
My balled fist was bone-white as it punched her chin, sending a crackling pop in responce. I had just performed an uppercut. Celicy collapsed, wide eye, watching me take her knife and juggle the object.
Crossing around her, I cupped her eyes and pressed the dagger to her neck, caressing the skin. "If you keep shaking like that, I might cut you on accident." I whispered, but before I could pierce flesh, Ally's voice rang in my ears.
"Y/N, stop!"
I snapped my neck to meet my best friend's bewildered gaze, realizing that what shadowed her eyes wasn't panick, it was fear. Of me.
Dropping the weapon, I stumbled, breathing heavily. I'm not like them, I'm not like them, I'm nothing like them! I repeated inside my head, angry tears threatning to spill.
Then what the living hell were you about to do?!
Celicy simply slumps on the floor, bangs covering her face, defeated.
"I-" What? I'm sorry?
"Just go." She mutters in a deflated tone. "Your friend is about to be murdered."
I exchanged a look with Ally, searching the room for her boyfriend; the prodigy who had never once lost a fight before, finding him crouching in the center of the rumaged room while clutching his stomach in obvious pain.
He was going to keep on fighting for the sake of his oversized ego.
My eyes widened, sprinting toward the cocky male who stood up once again, grinning. Illumi was expressionless, needles revealing themselves from the hidden corners of his fingers.
I focused on his heartbeat, sliding my foot from underneath when I was close enough, catching Killua's brother off gaurd. He avoided the attack, smoothly landing a few feet away from us, launching a single needle at me. Don't underestimate me.
With both of my hands, I stopped it, pressing my palms together, releasing a triumphant smirk. Around the room, the rest of the Zoldyck family departed, apparently this wasn't worth their time.
I'm guessing the Grien family did, too, because only my friends remained and Illumi.
The last thing I heard before everything went black was Killua's distant yelling, calling my name. "Y/N!" I didn't feel pain, nor did I feel myself falling to the floor.
Normal P.O.V.
After Y/N, Peter, and Ally were spelled unconcious on the ground due to Alluka, eyes shut closed with their breathes even, Milluki popped his head from a seat he had been hiding at, just as confused as Illumi was, striding to his side. Killua was at the back with Alluka by his side, all the Zoldyck siblings gathered except for Kalluto.
"Did you do this?" Milluki questioned, watching Killua gently lift Y/N over his shoulder. His Ocean blue eyes were blank for a second, absent, transferring to the eldest brother of the family, narrowing them at the sight of him.
"Touch Y/N again," he murmurs silently with venom leaking from his voice, "and I'll kill you."
The white haired male passed Celicy without a single glance, feeling her grip his leg helplessly, tears streaming down her face in a waterfall. "Killua!"
He clenched his jaw, looking down at her. "Celi-"
"No! If you really love that girl, protect her. We haven't sighned the actual marriage papers so what happened. . . " she trails on. "Stays in this church."
The chocolate lover tilts his head in confusion, frowning at the ruined bride. "What about your family?"
She chuckles softly, taking an offered hand by him and brushing her dress warily. "I'll figure it out."
"You could have killed Y/N if you really wanted to, why didn't you?"
Celicy shook her head with a smile. "No. She's strong."
With a quick peck of his lips on her cheek, he matched her expression, his back turning to her as he began leaving, holding Alluka's hand, who used her free one to wave goodbye.
"Wait-" Celicy sighed, unsure if she should say what she was about to. "There's something else you should know."
The white haired male waited, muscles tensing.
"You should ask about that brand on her neck."
Once they were outside, the afternoon sun's golden rays illuminated their surroundings, with the ex-assassin feeling Bitsy squirm around, punching weakly at his back, mumbling some unaudible words. "Gotta- save- Killua!" The girl muttered, calming down.
He supressed a smile, his sister noticing, bright eyes blinking. "Brother Onii-San, do you like Y/N?"
Without a moment's hesitation, be answered. "Yeah, I do."
Guys, sorry this was really short but there is a second part to this, I was feeling a little light headed earlier so if it sounds kind of strange, it might be because of that.
I'll probably publish it tomorrow ^^"
I <3 you!!!!!!
Quote for today's chapter:
I'm capable of doing many things,
But becoming a monster isn't one of them,
Loving you endlessly is.
