Hey guys sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've literally spent the past three weeks at camp and didn't have any time to write. Also if I'm doing something false (or I could do something better) with Camila's whole autism thing in this story please let me know. Hope you like this chapter :)))
Lauren nervously fixes her flannel again before walking into her mother's office. She sees Camila sitting in the same chair as last time and still playing with the purple octopus with green polka dots.
"Lolo," Camila says excitedly as she hears the door close. Lauren walks over and gives her mom a kiss on the cheek before turning back to her date.
"Hey, Camz. Are you ready to go," Lauren questions as she holds out her hand. Camila nods, putting down the octopus and grabbing ahold of her hand. This shocks Clara as well as it has everyone else.
"Aren't you supposed to make sure I'm done with her first, Lauren," Clara accuses her daughter jokingly.
"Sorry, mami." Lauren shrugs, giving her mom another kiss on the cheek, her hand still in Camila's.
"You two have fun and I'll see you at home tonight, Lauren," Clara says flashing them a smile before they leave through the door. They walk out hand in hand to Lauren's car.
Lauren opens the passenger car for Camila as she gets in she mumbles,"Thank you, Lauren."
Lauren jogs across to her side of the car and gets in, starting the engine. Camila squeaks once she hears it start.
"I-I am not very good with new cars, just s-so you know," Camila informs her. Lauren nods slowly, trying to think of something to ease Camila's discomfort.
"You wanna hold my hand," Lauren ask before quickly saying,"You can squeeze it as tight as you need." Camila nods grabbing onto her hand, and man does she hold it tight. Lauren winces at the feeling at first before slowly starting to drive.
"So why do you not like cars," Lauren ask curiously. Camila's hand loosens up Lauren starts driving faster.
"My aunt and uncle were in a c-car accident when I was younger. They d-died." Camila says looking straight ahead. Lauren figures that means Ally's parents.
"I'm sorry," Lauren says softly before continuing to focus on driving.
They finally get to the ten minute drive restaurant in a record of twenty minutes. Lauren gets and jogs around to the other side, seeing that Camila was already out.
"What are you doing? I was supposed to open the door for you," Lauren pouts.
"Oh, I'm s-sorry," Camila says, getting back in the car making Lauren laugh. Lauren opens the door for her, holding her hand out for her to take. Camila gets out, and starts walking ahead of Lauren into the restaurant.
"Camila, mi amor," an older looking man yells as they walk in the door. He comes up and hugs the brunette, which causes Camila to push him away hard.
"Don't touch me, please," Camila says, her hands shaking. Lauren pulls out the purple octopus with green polka dots that she stole from her mother's office without her noticing.
"Here Camz," Lauren mumbles handing her the octopus. Camila smiles thankful at her before beginning to mess with the tentacles.
"Two," the man ask clearing his throat awkwardly. They both nod at the same time, following behind the man to their table.
"Enjoy your night, Camila," he says before walking out.
"So who was that," Lauren ask as they are left alone.
