It's crazy how far this story has already come, like it has over 20k reads in 14 chapters. Maybe that's not a lot to most people, but it means the world to me. I get to do what I love about the people that I love. It's just crazy and I just want you to know that I appreciate y'all big time. Also why didn't y'all tell me in like the second chapter I had them go to school??? I swear I forgot stuff so easily, it's a serious problem 😂 So let's just pretend that part of that chapter didn't happen yeah? Now enjoy this chapter, the sibling goals is big (:
"She sang to you," Dinah exclaims as Lauren freaks out over the phone. She's currently on the phone with Normani, but Dinah was over and wanted in on the details.
"It was so amazing, Dinah. She is so amazing," Lauren gushes as she falls back onto her bed, sighing in content.
"I'm so happy for you, Laur. You deserve this kind of happiness after everything," Normani says over the phone.
"Me too," Lauren says softly, not wanting to wake her parents or siblings up.
"So what did you guys do afterwards," Dinah ask, Lauren already knows what she's suggesting.
"We went inside and watched movies and cuddled the rest of the night until her parents and Sofi got home," Lauren informs her.
"You sure about that, Lo," Dinah ask suggestively, making Lauren blush at the thought of doing something like that with Camila.
"Shut up, Dinah," Lauren mumbles into the phone embarrassedly.
"Okay maybe nothing happened, but you know you want it to," Dinah says, Lauren can just imagine that smug expression on her face at the moment.
"Dinah," Lauren groans annoyed.
"I believe you're saying the wrong name, it should be 'Camila'," Dinah says teasingly.
"Goodnight, losers," Lauren mumbles before hanging up the phone quickly. Lauren falls asleep to the thought of Camila, not all were dirty though.
"Really Chris," Lauren hears a person yelling from the kitchen. She walks in to see spilled Cheerios on the floor with her dad bending down picking them up. Chris is laughing and clapping his hands, just playing around, but it's obvious that's not how her father feels. Lauren watches as her dad stands above her brother and smacks him on the side of his head, hard. Chris freezes completely, his hands in midclap and everything.
"No," Lauren screams, finally being spotted by the door way.
"Lauren, leave," her father says firmly. Lauren doesn't do it though, no she wants to be able to help her brother. Lauren slowly walks up to Chris and holds out her hand. Her younger brother takes it and Lauren starts to gently pull him out of the room.
"Where do you think you're going," Lauren hears her father ask behind her.
"I'm not going to let you do that to Chris," Lauren informs him. Her father starts to walk closer to her.
"Oh, well then I guess I'll have to do it to you instead," he says before smacking Lauren hard in the face.
"Lo, wake up." Lauren hears in the distance.
"Lauren," Lauren hears as she begins to being shaken awake. She opens her eyes to find her little sister siting on top of her, shaking her shoulders harshly.
"Bad dream," Taylor ask as she pulls her older sister into a hug. All Lauren can do is nod her head as she cries into the younger girl's shoulder. They stay like that, Taylor whispering that it's okay and Lauren sobbing for a while. Lauren finally pulls back and looks into Taylor's eyes.
"Let's just have a day, me, you, and Chris. We haven't done that in forever," Lauren tells her little sister as she wipes away the last of her tears. Taylor nods her head before silently getting up.
"I'll get Chris while you wash up and we can have a movie day," Taylor informs her before leaving the bedroom to go get their brother. Lauren gets out of bed and puts on a hoodie and some sweatpants. She goes into the bathroom and does her daily routine.
Once Lauren is ready she walks downstairs to see Chris and Taylor sitting on the couch, waiting for her. Taylor looks up and smiles once she sees her, Chris doesn't even realize she's there, too entranced with the previews for the movie. Lauren sits down on the other side of Chris, sitting 'criss cross applesauce' as her girlfriend would call it.
The siblings watch two movies together before Chris passes out. His head in Lauren's lap and the rest of his body sprawled out over Taylor's. Once Taylor puts in the third movie instead of watching it she turns to Lauren.
"So how are you and Camila," she whispers trying not to wake Chris up.
"I miss her, I mean it hasn't even been a day and I miss her. That's pretty pathetic isn't it," Lauren ask, chuckling to herself. The weekends suck when she doesn't get to see Camila.
"No, it's cute. Have you told her yet," Taylor ask, referring to Lauren being in love with her.
"Yeah, I told her before school started. I told you this Tay," Lauren teases as she reaches over and teasingly knocks on her head.
"I've been so out of it lately, Laur," Taylor sheepishly admits.
"Well what's been on your mind," Lauren ask as she halfway watches Harry Potter and hallways listens to her sister.
"There's these girls at school, they aren't bullying me so to say. But they're being really mean and I get that that'll happen now that I'm in high school, but it sucks," Taylor says, playing with her fingers nervously.
"I need names," Lauren states simply. No one messes with her baby sister and gets away with it.
"It's not a big deal, Lauren. I'll be fine, it just hurts at times," Taylor admits, looking into her sister's green eyes. Lauren can't believe she hasn't noticed Taylor's change in behaviors until just now.
"Well once mom gets home, Normani and I are taking out for the night," Lauren states, knowing her little sister loves her best friend.
"Can Camila come to," Taylor ask shyly, ducking her head down.
"I don't think Camila would want to go, Tay. She's like Chris, she doesn't like loud noises," Lauren tells her sister sadly.
"Well then can we just stay here and invite them over? I want Camila to come and I know that you miss her," Taylor says confidently.
"Alright, I will text them both to come over here at seven sound good," Lauren ask, Taylor gives her a nod of the head before focusing on the movie that Lauren forgot was even playing. Lauren pulls out her phone and text Normani to come over around seven, she then goes to her girlfriend's contact.
To Camzi 🙈❤️ : Hey babe, I know it's last minute, but would you like to come over at seven? Taylor has had a rough day and I thought it would be nice to have a girls night with us and Normani. It's okay if you don't want to. Love you 💗
"I texted them both," Lauren informs her sister just to see that she's passed out sitting straight up. Lauren chuckles at the cuteness of her siblings.
Let's see what tonight brings.
I love you guys.
