"SIS, YOU'RE HERE, finally. Edward's been making us put on Bella's clothes," Roman sarcastically grinned as he picked up a piece of clothing with the human's scent on it. The covens had devised a plan to protect Bella from the tracker vampire though not everyone was onboard with the idea.

"Rina, put this on," Edward commanded, throwing her a huge puffy jacket. "Rosalie, can you put the hat on? The scent isn't strong enough."

Rosalie huffed. "I have on three of Bella's clothes: her out—of—fashion coat, her bland cardigan, her washed out bottoms and now her torn hat? Are you trying to piss me off?"

       "Rose," Emmett warned his wife.

"What, Emmett? I don't get why we have to protect her? She means nothing to us! She means nothing to me," Rosalie snarled.

"She's with Edward which means Bella is part of the family and you know that," Esme answered calmly, though this only angered Rosalie.

"Family? What family? This isn't a family. It's a circus full of random people who I didn't ask to know." the vampire cried, she meant the words that spat out of her mouth but looking back, instantly regretted them as her family meant everything to her.

"Rosalie, stop this!" Carlisle yelled as the clan looked at him in fear, more than shock.

"You should've just left me to die. It was better that way. Why did you turn me, Carlisle? I want to know why!"

"Because . . . " Carlisle paused, struggling to find the words. Karina knew why. He wanted her to be a mate for Edward but their relationship was only mutual and the two were more brother and sister than lovers.

"Just know that I'm doing this for whatever we are and not the human, okay?" Rosalie stated, flitting off.

The vampires split up in their individual groups on their journey to protect the little lamb caught up in a dangerous game. A game which seemed impossible to win.

KARINA RUBBED THE scarf and up and down the tree inhaling the scent before going over to Rosalie, sulking near a broken tree, still in a bad mood.

"Rose, don't tell me you're still upset?"

"I'm not."

"Good."

"I'm annoyed." Groaning, Karina punched the girl on the arm but she didn't budge though she noticed her nose scrunch up.
